Re: next season
With a couple of additions in central defense and central midfield and a decent striker the playoffs should easily be within our reach and automatic promotion is a definite possibility.
That’s what should happen but any manager worth a damn will still be able to figure out how to exploit Coyle’s weaknesses unless he wises up considerably.

Re: next season

Should have gone to.......ah, I see what you did there.

There's a certain team coached by that Sam fella you're not keen on who've just managed it.

Re: next season
Top 8,meaning a season of more cheery wins than we've had for quite some time
Re: next season
Those that struggle when relegated have normally had to offload their most-able players to balance the books, or have a few too many that take home a Premier League paycheck and refuse to budge as they won't find a better deal elsewhere.
Point is, if you manage to keep your house in order during the close season like we seem to be doing; you'll have a more than decent enough chance to achieve promotion next season.
All three relegated sides from the season before last managed to keep or improve their squads and reached the play-offs as a result. Remember, West Ham were promoted at Blackpool's expense.
As someone else said, that's what should happen.
