Cyber warfare. Taking the site down. Abdoulaye's Twin reckons it's Ahmadinejad. Probably on the orders of the supreme leader. We are, after all, but an organ of the Little Satan.

From specially licensed places, at eye watering prices and with a large wedge of government tax added. Same with alcohol. Apart from a road toll they are the only overt taxes here. They like to fleece you in more discreet ways than tax usually!

How much in GBP would a pack of 20 cans (for instance) cost?

Not completely sure to be honest. The one time I've bought alcohol it came to about £50. That was 2 cheap bottles of wine (the sort that would cost a fiver in Tesco), 4 cans of bitter and 2 small bottles of Leffe. A bottle of wine in a reasonable restaurant will start from about £40. I rarely drink these days, though, I have some single malts I brought with me and a newly arrived bottle of Jack from a visitor to keep me going.
For pork it is about £20 a kilo for loin. A pack of bacon is about a fiver. The few places that sell it have it in a separate room in the supermarket. It is a bit weird at first walking in. In this room you get everything from ham, to tins of hotdogs to bacon flavour crisps. Very few restaurants have pork. If you order a pizza it is almost certainly beef pepperoni and turkey ham

Went in to check today. £35 for 24 Stella. Most lagers were similar price. Them fancy bottles of cider or is it cidre these days? they were about £42/3 a case, but not sure how many were in the case. A bottle of bog standard Hardys red stuff was about £9.

Multiculturalism gone mad, if you ask me !!
(Though if anyone wants the address of good pork restaurants in Tel Aviv drop me a line !!)
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Tuesday 1:30pm – Iranians cyber bomb TW again in an outrageous act of international aggression. A pattern is clearly taking shape.
