DOUGIE FREEDMAN: "We have good news that Josh Vela and Mark Davies will be available for selection this weekend."
Bolton Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman revealed both Mark Davies and Josh Vela are back in contention ahead of this weekend’s local derby against Wigan Athletic.
The central midfield duo have both been building their fitness up in recent weeks after returning from long term injuries and are now considered available for first team action.
Speaking in his post-match press conference on Friday, manager Freedman is pleased to see the pair back and explained that the Wanderers team are in good spirits ahead of Sunday’s derby at the DW.

Two more to chuck in the midfield lottery draw. I can see Mark Davies contending but Vela? Maybe you're right about the loan AT. Quien sabe?

Don't want to be "that guy" but if anyone has a ticket spare I'm happy to take it off your hands. Got two myself so not desperate but just for a friend like.
Re: π = √(4c ) ∑ in Wiggin
from the bbc
"Wigan manager Uwe Rosler is likely to welcome back Grant Holt, Will Keane, Ivan Ramis and James McClean.
Ali Al Habsi (knee), Juan Carlos Garcia (ankle), Gary Caldwell and Shaun Maloney (both hip) remain sidelined, but Mark Davies could be in the squad."
bbc reporter fails at knowing who plays for who? that'sunpossible a pretty regular occurance.
if the same guy is doing the live updates from the Dave Whelan Broken Leg Memorial Warehouse , folk ceefax-ing it wont have a clue whats going on , i'd bet on "kevin davies scores for wigan" as being one of the text updates.

Dead cert I'd think.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:What's the betting Vela is out on loan come January?
DF had already suggested it when the lad got his latest injury. He also suggested that the sooper-duper nw medical team felt he ran wrongly and needed intensive work to ensure he avoided constant injury.
Mavis will be an interesting one ... I can see no way he and Moritz will be in the same XI in Dougie World.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Am I right in thinking the last game we played against a europa league fatigued team was the stoke revenge?

Well Spurs and Liverpool are near the top of the league.ChrisC wrote:Cant believe this isn't on tele Who the feck wants to watch Man U/Villa or Spurs/Liverpool over this!?
The other fcuking match - two non-entities. According to the rules, United will only be on about 4 times next season at this rate.

Looks pretty decent and with Pratley getting forward, defensive enough without overdoing it.
Unless we're behind I can't see Mark Davies getting much time, but then again, who knows? Mason and Moritz worked well enough last week and I reckon Chungy will put the effort in and be replaced by Eagles mid second half.

In the ground just met up with Dan and we're being serenaded by a group of fans with an inflatable sheep singing 'whelan's, how's your leg'.
