We'd just beaten Arsenal 1-0 at The Bok and gone 11th, in the season in which we finished 6th.
Would that have been the Pedersen howitzer, btw?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

My memory's not what it was but iirc Pedersens goal was the equalizer in a 1-1 draw.Bruce Rioja wrote:We'd just beaten Arsenal 1-0 at The Bok and gone 11th, in the season in which we finished 6th.

I joined the day before we beat Wales 1-0 in the World Cup qualifiers, September 2005. Following week we beat Ipswich 3-1 in the F.A.Cup. Week after, we beat Arsenal 1-0 in the league. ( I was Meatpieandchips back then)

I joined the day before traveling to Peterborough to witness a nine goal thriller which we lost 5-4.

It looks like I was inspired to seek something other than actual football after a 0-0 draw against Fulham at the start of the 10/11 season.

Re: What was going on Football wise when you joined this for
I joined, it seems, on 9th March 2005
The weekend before we'd thrashed Citeh 1-0, away. Diouf in first half injury time.
The following week we lost, at home, 1-0 to Arsenal. 3rd minute Ljungberg goal. If I recall it was the match Diouf was conned into looking harshly at the Arsenal keeper hit the ground like a sack of shit & Diouf was sent off.
I would list the Bolton squad at that time, but it hurts too much.
Premier League
Manchester City 0 – 1 Bolton Wanderers
City of Manchester Stadium
Saturday 7 March 2005
FA Cup Bolton Wanderers 0 – 1 Arsenal
Reebok Stadium
Saturday 12 March 2005

I was 9 days after you, betty, and on that day Liverpool came back from the dead and beat Milan in Istanbul for the UEFA championship. There was no Liverpool laughing stocks thread then...bettyrasta wrote:16th May 2005 after beating Everton 3-2 and finishing sixth. Must have joined then because I knew what a happy place it would be.

I joined about the same time as Gary Megson.
