Most astonishingly the former husband of Lisa Goddard. I admire anyone who plays so clearly out of their league.

... & he had previously been a the singer of 60's band "Shane Fenton & the Fentones" despite not being Shane Fenton. The real Shane died, aged 17, between making the band's demo's and them being signed and his mother asked that his name be used.

Where's "Spottie's Little Known Facts" thread when you need it ?
Wow, all this time, I thought Alvin Stardust's real name was Shane Fenton. Now I find out it was all a cruel hoax and he's really call Alvin Stardust!

RIP.
Born Bernard William Jewry. I can see why he changed his name but Alvin Stardust?
I think my head's exploded - I've known forgers with less identities...
y'see - this is probably one of the reasons you've had bother from the bizzies!

^^ Utterly superb bass player.

To be fair, in his 'recent' TV interviews made Johnny Winter look well.

After surviving Breast Cancer three years ago my Mum developed Lung Cancer. Two years of treatment and struggle ensued and she finally succumbed on Sunday. I hate the phrase 'battled Cancer' but she resisted long enough to get out of hospital to die at home, surrounded by family and loved ones (and there are quite a few of us).

Some of the members of this board have been supportive throughout and I wanted to let them know I appreciate it.

Sincere sympathies GtE. When my own mother died in 2002 I had a very sympathetic boss who told me to go sit with her until the inevitable happened, no matter how long it took. That was a great comfort to me and I hope you being able to spend time with your mum during that time was a comfort to you too.
