Just back in. Awful, uninspiring stuff, relieved by good company. I still can't understand what Lennon is trying to do, but it worked of a fashion today. Danny and Bannan played well in the centre and a clean sheet and three points is more than welcome.

Two wins from the next three (I expect nowt at Blackburn) should see us over the line.

It was a poor devoid of quality, until our little man Clough came up with the only quality bit of that game, the goal, and he took it well. Got a good footballing brain that lad for a young 'un, I just hope we can keep hold of him. Good company we were with as well!! :)

Well, that was a shocking game. I haven't checked the stats, but I counted one shot on goal from both sides in the first half. The second half wasn't much better. No quality at all from either side other than brief glimpses from Zak.
First half we were lumping the ball up front, bypassing the midfield, and handing the ball back to them.
Feeney was awful. How can someone be employed as a winger, yet doesn't have the ability to cross a ball, even from a corner? Shocking.
Heskey achieved nothing. Not sure why he gets played.
Awful game.
Still, we won and kept a clean sheet. Lets get this season out of the way and bring on next season.
Hope is what keeps us going.

Can't always be beautiful. I'd happily win every single one of our last 12 games 1-0 if it meant it prepped us for next season and got the winning mentality back
Pfffft.

Sounds like feeney had a bad one but harsh to critise his crossing based on one performance after putting a lot of decent balls in over the last few months .
Would hope for a more fluent perfermance against a free falling reading side . And given Wigan and millwall are at Norwich and boro we should be pretty much safe come Wednesday morning . Can't see us losing the last 12 or millwall winning 4 of them . The bottom three look pretty doomed .

For someone playing at this level not to be able to put the ball into the right place from a corner every time is absolutely inexcusable.

It was an awful game lit up by one moment of magic. I can't wait to get this season out of the way now and see what next year has to offer.

Game after game perhaps but since Lennon came in I'd say feeney has been pretty decent with his delivery and worked his arse off . Seem to remember three very good deliveries in the last home game at least . He's probably been the most consistent player we've got over the last twenty games .

One thing we've got to remember is we have alot of players to come back! next season will be alot better than this one but it has to be in this league

For me MOTM was Wheater. Threw his body on the line on a few occasions and was a true leader all game.

Just back. Pretty poor stuff 1st half. Thought it was better in 2nd - putting Vela into midfield made a difference. Nice footwork/ finish from cloughie. Wheater was MoM for me. Him and Mils were solid and aggressive. Seeing Mr mcNaughton enter the fray was a surprise - I thought he was on the naughty step

Grinding out results is all part of the pantomime. Sounds like today was one of those. All that counts, even after a dazzling display, is the points. We got them. Another three on Tuesday and things will look a whole lot better.

Three points today and we're nailed on for seven more from the next three games. Anything after that is just gravy.

In that case, a change of avatar might be in order.

Hope Feeney's okay. Sounded to have a bad time with crosses today before he went off.

any stig in the dumps moaned about clough being not played by previous managers like they know the financial in and outs yet ?

danny ward scored today , i think .

remember that ? its come full circle (if you ignore allardyce's moaning about having no money).

its kinda funny.
