Appalling home record against very poor away record. My guess is we will keep things interesting by giving Wigan a leg up and lose 2-1. Everyone's favourite team to play at home. Went last season but won't be wasting my time and money this time round. And on that note I'll follow my mums advice and say nothing more as I have nothing nice to say!

We've had six away losses on the bounce - 4-2, 4-1, 4-1 then three 1-0s – but I can think of perhaps only one place I'd rather end that run than Wigan. Their recent reasonable run is entirely based on four straight away wins: they haven't scored in four home games, have lost their last six (and nine of the last 10), and haven't won in an astonishing 16 home games (since August).

So yeah, we should win this.

The very resistable force meeting the eminently moveable object.

0-1.

Only Blackpool are worse than us away but we are looking better . Wigan gave Watford a game yesterday . I suspect 0 0 or 1 1. Not sure where our goals will come from if alf isn't over his bug .

Two wins right now won't make much difference in points or positions, even less if those above us match them. We need the wins for confidence because last night sounded like that's all we were short of. Creating chances means zilch if we don't capitalise on them. If we win, the mood will go up and the football's already improving.

Hoboh's match thread title is crap!

I think it'll be shite game. But we'll get a spawny goal to win it 1-0.
And that 47 points will be enough for safety. Job done.

Wigan have picked up recently and despite their position I cant recall them getting hammered too often. I see nothing in our recent away form to suggest we can win.

2-1 to us!

Forgive the negativity, but we're like a charity.. Going around giving gifts to those in need. 2-1 to them :-(

I'll be leathered either way, though slightly (very) pissed off that the Walkden - Wigan trains aren't running because of engineering works. The Cvnts

Aye, I could see us losing by the odd goal. Away form is dire at the minute. 1-0 Pies.

We have to get something away some time. Be great to turnover these pie eaters and hammer another nail in their relegation coffin.
