Sammi to Forest tomorrow, apparently. I'm pleased for him. He's definitely a championship level player and could thrive in a better side.
Blimey. What must the odds have been on Forest sending their coach on the same day that Ameobi had a decent game?

It's like watching a dog on oilcloth.

Re: Tonight's Football

I watched the second half. It was like watching a pub game. Couldn't string two passes together. They were getting caught in possession as frequently as Pete Doherty.

Re: What are you watching tonight?

Those of you who didn't watch The Virtues need to go back and watch it. Superb, gripping television. One of the best things I've ever watched. I'm sure it's cracking like most of Meadows's work but there's only so much miserable kitchen sink drama you can watch. :| Started watching it around 11 and...

Tall lump with a ponytail. Played CM or at the back mainly at the start of the league 1 season (so could be). Ahhhhh, that were 'im. Gangling type. Looked like he needed hosing down. I've just checked and it was James Henry who missed the sitter at San Spotland. Scored a fecking 'worldy' against us...

I have absolutely no recollection of Tom Thorpe. Was he the one who missed that absolute sitter away at Rochdale?

Re: The sun never sets on the Brittas Empire.

I've absolutely no evidence for it, but I reckon today will be the day the new owners are officially announced. But they said next week. I can't remember where they said it, but said it was by somebody. Just call me Sam Spade, no investigation too much trouble. Joint administrator Paul Appleton did...

Absolutely 100% behind Field on this. In fact, I thought he demonstrated a level of restraint.I see the Greenpeace-ers are playing the 'unarmed female' card as opposed to 'potential terrorist'. "She was wearing a Greenpeace sash". Oh, well that's alright then. The person who does want hauling...

Vote Brexit Party. Save Our Forests. Yes, I'll be able to wander through forests in my newly found free time. Wonderful. What, you think having free time and wandering through forests is a bad thing? :conf: Surely better than wandering through a desert of diesel fumes and woodburner smoke wh...

Never played Accy either, unless you count their 1891-1966 incarnation, whom we played once in 1926 (FA Cup Third Round, went on to win the bleedin' thing).
It's a sign! We're either going up or winning the cup
It's a sign that we're about to plumb new depths is what it is, Sunshine. ;)

Re: The Politics Thread

So that's Javid out, unsurprisingly. I'm just disappointed that Rory Stewart's out, as now I'm going to have to vote for somebody I don't want to vote for in a general election, just to do my bit in keeping Corbyn out. I wonder if little Rory spoilt his ballot paper. Was there one spoiled, Enoch? I...

Re: What are you watching tonight?

So, last Wednesday evening and I was sat in with nowt to do, so thought I'd watch the opening episode of 'Wild Bill'. Rob Lowe plays an American rozzer with a troubled past, of course, who takes up the position of chief rozzer in Boston, Lincolnshire, where he's come to make a fresh start. Every cli...

Re: Tonight's Football

Well if women want parity with the men in football they should all take a leaf out of Scotlands book. Their women have just snatched a draw from the jaws of victory. 3 up which ended 3 all after a VAR assisted twice taken penalty. Just like the men they're going home at the first stage in glorious ...

Summat else for you to watch - Last Breath. It's on Netflix amongst other stuff. It's one of these documentary films and tells the tale, and includes lots of actual footage, of a guy called Chris Lemons, a deep sea diver working on a routine oil well maintenance job when things go horribly wrong. S...

Re: The Politics Thread

BBC reporting critically on themselves for using a Muslim preacher in last night's Tory leader debate who had previously tweeted 'potentially offensive tweet re Israel'. I know alleged anti semitism is all the rage these days but have a look at the two tweets they're referring to. One is about Isra...
