Re: Administration and recovery

The Times is reporting that the Eddie Davies Trust ( £17.5 mill) and Ken ( £7.5 mill) are asking for £24.5 million between them. If true it's no wonder that Sharon is having to haggle the price down. More on that and the takeover in this BEN article... https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/17762162...

Re: Administration and recovery

^ is there more debt to be revealed yet? Will the hotel have a list of creditors? Presumably Ken would be in there too? I suppose the hotel doesn't have the secured football creditors that the club has to satisfy on full More than likely more debt - given that the hotel shut down and stopped operat...

Re: Administration and recovery

Initial observations: 1.) KA much lower than expected £1.5m v £5m 2.) BW slightly higher £3m v £2.5m 3.) PBP secured debt not quantified presumably due to MJ being involved in the takeover, but that was reported to be £6.5m. Interesting that PBP also have £248k unsecured debt as well. 4.) Football cr...

Re: Red Hats and One-eyed Snakes - the ups and downs of new management.

Yes I can agree that Sullivan (in this case) could create separate companies to purchase the hotel/land/stadium and rent the stadium to the football club on a commercial basis. How the EFL would see assets leaving the company that consists of the club, thus reducing the value of the club and being t...

Re: Red Hats and One-eyed Snakes - the ups and downs of new management.

I don't get the reporting on this at all: 1.) David Sullivan owns 51% of West Ham. EFL rules state that an owner cannot own more than 10% in two clubs. Surely £12.5m represents more than 10% of BWFC? 2.) £12.5m might cover the forthcoming season's losses. What would cover the purchase of the club an...

Re: Administration and recovery

Bassini is useful to the ailing print media, because he is an established moron who scares people that he might be serious and thus gets people clicking/downloading BEN/The Sun material they otherwise wouldn't. Nixon and to a lesser degree Iles should do some verification when Bassini gets on the ph...

Re: Administration and recovery

^^ If he is taking legal action on his first bid then he has to prove that the administrators had a biased (against him) or unfair process and his bid was better than a bid that is under NDA and he should know nothing about, not to mention better than the other three bids that were also rejected, an...

Re: Administration and recovery

Presuably, an appplication for an injunction can be made right up to the signing of the SPA. If that's the case, I don't know what material difference today's announcement makes. The position hasn't really changed from yesterday, has it? An application for an injunction is merely an application. To...

Re: Administration and recovery

I am thinking (hoping) that this is a click bait article and is mostly, or all, BS. 1.) The numbers don't make sense. If he is claiming he is prepared to pay ED Trustees £5.5m, and the remaining secured creditors £3m, that means that ED Trustees are getting 55% of their £10m, and the other secured c...

Have to say, based on this scale:

1. Stop moaning you bunch of panic fannies.
2. Don't panic
3. DON'T PANIC
4. DON'T MOTHERFECKING PANIC
5. It's over, we're doomed

I am about 2.6.

Re: The next manager

Imho, the Oztumer situation was quite a sad one. His signing was always a gamble, and the type we had to take given the clear lack of goals and chances in the side this time last year. But whilst he had a great goals/assist record at Walsall, they struggled as a team during that time. It always look...

Re: The next manager

Have to say I'm kinda edging towards keeping Parky if he wants to stay. On the one hand the whole club and fan base need a change. The last two seasons of being second best in pretty much every game (including most of those we got something from) have drained the enthusiasm out of most. Parky's etho...

I started this thread over two and a half years ago. Can I close it now?
Might be best to wait till the new owner is confirmed :)

Ok. You've all got 24 hours to post your farewell messages to Ken.
Almost there, perhaps just need a PSG :)

And Ken, hope you die in jail.
