Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

In amongst all the "stuff", I spotted a tweet from someone who I think was actually in the Court Room suggesting Hilary had said she hadn't actually "seen" any documentation that had supposedly been drawn up the previous night and that it's validity wasn't tested by the Court... wow As I said, blan...

Re: European Second Referendum

Indeed there are AT. But, if you don't mind me saying, they are all as equally unappetising. UKIP, SNP, UDP, Plaid Cymru, the Greens, BNP, the Raving Monster Loony Party... None of them make for compelling voting. Most are unavailable in a constituency near you. I had the choice of seven candidates...

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

"the greatest trick contemporary capitalism ever pulled, was convincing the public that digital has no value" I think you're giving a little too much credit there. For me the problem was that in the early days of the t'Interweb everyone convinced themselves that they could earn so much advertising ...

Re: European Second Referendum

The EMA has gone mate. Doors shut a couple of weeks ago. For right or wrong it legally has to be in the EU and planning took most of the last 2 years. Given we're supposed to be out in a couple of weeks it meant they had to shift before we left. Feel sorry for some of my old colleagues who had to l...

This is becoming more stressful. I'm hungry but barely able to see food.

It's not all about you. You're just being shellfish.

Re: European Second Referendum

Just had keys handed over to cottage at Lake Como at a 'service station' in France. Very disappointed that we aren't "crashing out" on due date. My dog is even more disappointed - she was looking forward to being challenged as an illegal immigrant and then showing her 'settled status'. You hope the...

Re: Electric Cars.

Keep up, Monty, it's a 3! Never seen a 3 but it should be similar re trunk space I would have thought. Never been in the Audi either so my remark was gratuitous. In truth the 3 has a fairly generous load space @ 425 litres but my A6 is the Avant and has a capacious 565 litres. It's perfect for a Fo...

Re: European Second Referendum

There is only one solution to this mess and that's a GE. Deselect the scabs (to coin a union phrase). Not really. Neither the Tories or Labour are fit for purpose. The Lib Dems are no better and no other part south of Hadrians Wall gets a look in. Our system isn't fit for purpose and needs fixing b...

You want to try getting to Raasay in a hurry. Or there on any Sunday... I've only ever seen a very short queue for the Raasay ferry...if you can call 3 vehicles a queue :D Back in the day you could only get three on. :D Probably why there is never a 4th  I can go months without leaving m...

Re: European Second Referendum

Oh, now it looks like a second referendum might happen after all. I honestly think, given some of the recent rhetoric from Messrs Barnier, Junker and Verhofstatd, that there could well be a greater pro Brexit margin a second time. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-latest-news-mp...

Where is it you're based, AT? I have a business trip up the west coast soon. If I'm in the area I will pop in. I'm Isle of Skye, about an hour from the bridge :) There's a bridge to Skye? Good God! Last time I was there you took the ferry from Malaig (road to the isles) or over the Kyle of Lochalsh...

You only have to remember the amount of people citing bananas jut because Boris made it up to realise there are more gullible folk out there than there ought to be.
