What's the Telegraph & Mail told them to do?
No idea. I don't read them. I thought the Mail was rabid right wing! :conf:
New editor, slightly softer tune I hear.

Re: The Weather

I get fxcking drenched on Wednesday, if that makes you feel any better. Not really. Just had to go out to the van and there is a river running past the door. It was dark so didn't see it until I stepped in it  From the desert, to Skye. Not many choose those extremes... 8) Hope the cats are fe...

Bit wild out there today

70mph winds in the village and that's not the top of the glen either. I've got pavement signs down the road and my bins have ended up in the farmers field

Re: Electric Cars.

Yes. That I'd call extortionate. I shall have to check up more on this aspect. I assumed that over the years the batteries would get better and cheaper, but that was just an assumption and I didn't factor in the sheer price of a replacement battery. Good job I didn't leap straight in ... I'm sure t...

Re: Electric Cars.

Thanks for the feedback folks. I've decided to leave it for a while. I've put some wedge away in an account so I won't spend it. I've heard that the Tesla model 3 for left hand drive will be out next year. Apparently better than the mark 1 and cheaper than the S. As for hybrids, AT, they are probab...

Re: Electric Cars.

Have an Outlander Phev, so partly electric. Very happy with it and very economical on shorter journeys, whilst being capable of long journeys without the downside of electric only. Feedback I've heard on teslas is that they are very nice but build quality lacking in areas..

Re: Den is the menace: Millwall (a), 3pm Sat 24 Nov 2018

I was planning to go with The Legendary Flanners - we need to attend more matches together, that'll kickstart the season - but circumstances are conspiring. Hopefully I'll make it to that nasty little corner of town, and hopefully back out again. Pleasingly, I now seem to be able to log in to TW on...

they didn't scream like 4 year olds throwing a tantrum every other bleeding weekend. The time for fecking doing something was when our premiership status was being robbed by c*nt Coyle. You don't do irony do you? The only real difference between now and the bad times we endured in the 80s is back t...

Re: European Second Referendum

I think we should be leaving, but with a proper deal, not an incompetent not a deal at all. That's not going to happen, so let's have a referendum with both options laid bare and not open to interpretation.

Re: The Politics Thread

I hope, but fear we won't, we learn from the farce and put some sort of proper mechanism in place to hold politicians and their hangers on to account for their lies. If we didn't know then, we know now that most of the claims made during the referendum were either outright lies or wishful thinking. ...

Re: Villainous Intent. V Aston Villa away Friday 02-11-18 7-45.

You have to match your outgoings to your cash flow. No point me ordering the fancy coffee machine if I know I can't pay it when it's due. If we're constantly having trouble paying salaries then a smaller salary bill would help. If that means worse players then so be it.

Re: Villainous Intent. V Aston Villa away Friday 02-11-18 7-45.

Here's the thing with Ken... I get that he doesn't want to flush his own cash down the pan, but he shouldn't be signing player contracts unless we have the turnover and ability to pay them. Hitting an occasional cash flow problem is a reality of business, but when it's happening as frequently as it ...
