Re: The Politics Thread

^^ Very Alice in Wonderland. It isn't multiculturalism, immigration, religion or however many descriptions of multisyllabalisms you come up with that's the problem here (or anywhere else for that matter) . Fine words. The correct descriptions are much shorter and simpler: Criminals, Dxck-heads, clo...

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

There really is going to be nothing left of Bolton Wanderers . What a foolish game football's become, all about greed and selfishness. Without a solid, decent team we're going nowhere at two-hundred miles an hour. Unless the game changes drastically it'll self-destruct completely. The top end milli...

Yeah - I feel sorry for us all having to live with some people from other parts of the world..... Seriously - what does it matter? What difference at all does it make? Re: The Politics Thread

^^ I've no intention of rambling round or repeating all that again, but I will ask: Who mentioned the word "immigration" in the first place? I didn't, John Cleese didn't, and he's so anti "foreigners that he's thinking of living in the Caribbean? No, it you my friend who mentioned it here, and was ...

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

Just seen today that Gary Cahill is available on a free transfer. If only..... Those were the days. Last time we were in embargo, we were reduced to a ceiling of £4,500 weekly wage; Gaz's elapsing contract is (per The Sun) £75,000 per week. And good on him. I often wonder how different things might...

Re: The Politics Thread

John Cleese (the original topic of this particular section of the "politics" thread) is one month younger than me, which makes him 80 in the coming October. I think that fact may be worth remembering by the outraged drum-bangers in context with his comparison remark about London not being English (...

Hey, GG, welcome back, it's wonderful to see you. I have never forgotten the photograph you posted of your twins walking/waddling down that beautiful track through a copse. :) How’s this for a photograph Dujon? One of my twins got to be the mascot at Arsene Wengers last ever home game last year (a ...

Re: News stories that make you think, or not...

^:Aye. To a lesser extent Utd and Chelsea have done similar. Got players in that just can't cut it at the very best level. Is that a failing on their part or just how high City and Liverpool have set the bar? United have spent almost as much as City...so definitely a failing on their part. Though I...

Re: The Politics Thread

Same with anyone from anywhere. On a micro level, would you care if you lived next door to Polish/ Italian/Spanish/Indian/Chinese or whatever people...would it make your life worse? I don't feel it matters where the people come from but who they are. Personally. I do live next door to a Polish coup...

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Stokes does pull out the spectacular in the field sometimes. Can’t see many topping that.

Thought 311 looked a bit short but we made easy work of it. That bowling attack with Archer has dimensions now that we didn’t before.

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Ooof not sure that's quite enough. 340 was par against this sort of side on this pitch. But wicket is a bit sticky - so slow balls do damage.

Have to bowl well and take early wickets to get out of this one I think.

Re: TW Awards 2018/19

1) Gary O'Neil
2) I'd go Pawel's at Preston. Thunderbolt.
3) Definitely first day of season win. All felt so promising then....if only we knew...
4) Kompany's winner against Leicester. By some margin. Magic moment.

Too painful to answer last two. We even managed to make Ipswich look good....

See the problem is, we haven't ever sent the EU £350M a week. That is a demonstrable lie because never once ever has that happened. Do you underst...
