Re: The Politics Thread

I think the press reaction is very odd. Individual journalists pearl-clutching about his right to privacy while the publications they work for splash pages of print about it (continuing their long tradition of spying/hacking et al). It seems to be fairly common ground that there was an almighty row ...

Sammi to Forest tomorrow, apparently. I'm pleased for him. He's definitely a championship level player and could thrive in a better side.
And worst case, he'll be back on loan in Jan.

Re: Tonight's Football

They're all like that though. Genuine missed trick not getting a Pulis in charge. 442 and organised would be enough. Trying to play people as a number 10 when the technique to get them the ball isn't there. Anyway that was an absolute farce. Cameroon a shambles and a total of 16 mins added time due ...

Re: Tonight's Football

Absolute lols in the women's.

Cameroon lost it because they don't understand the offside rule. Couldn't write it.

Tall lump with a ponytail. Played CM or at the back mainly at the start of the league 1 season (so could be).

Iles has done one of Wheater's teammates.

I got 82. Neil Danns the highest I didn't get. My memory had blocked out a fair few!

Re: Tonight's Football

I think they are tbf*. Just utter ineptitude through the FA in the management.

The tournaments are an oddity too. France and England probably have 5 or 6 players U21 (eligible) you'd expect to become world class and of them only Foden playing.

*Relatively speaking.

Haha. Yeah the At George "system" makes sense in theory but wow. Boothroyd's grown a fringe but that's just not enough. At least buy a waistcoat.

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Well that puts the cat among the pigeons. What we think of the Root dismissal? As soon as they reviewed it could see he knew he'd nicked it.

Contrast to Kohli walking the other day (and he hadn't even touched it).

What do we think about walking?

I think it's heavy handed and over the top. But nowhere near as bad as is being made out by some.

Damn sight more violent then a milkshake though.

I've always thought of myself as an atheist but after watching David Warner edge one into his own bollocks I'm starting to believe there might be something to this karma business.

Re: The Politics Thread

So that's Javid out, unsurprisingly. I'm just disappointed that Rory Stewart's out, as now I'm going to have to vote for somebody I don't want to vote for in a general election, just to do my bit in keeping Corbyn out. I wonder if little Rory spoilt his ballot paper. Was there one spoiled, Enoch? I...

Re: League One 2019/20

Well up for Wycombe. And Oxford. Nice book ends for me. Wimbledon will depend on how my team's season goes :).

And I'm home for a week at Xmas but not until after Boxing Day so they've worked out pretty well for me!

Re: League One 2019/20

Welcome LE!

I'm selfishly hoping Wimbledon away is a midweek game so I can go without missing football (playing, though insert your own joke here) and so I have a chance of getting a ticket.

Re: Tonight's Football

U21s done again because we haven't got a coach with two brain cells to rub together in the whole set up. Head and shoulders above France, cruising at 1-0 up, Choudry does what the thick feck always does and gets sent off. We play for 10 mins with child sized Foden and Madison in certain midfield. Th...
