Re: World Cup 2018

Nigeria v Iceland. Not a single black person playing for Iceland!!! Not a single white person playing for Nigeria!!! #racistbastards. They all need diversity training. With a population of 186 million I think Nigeria might have a few more options than Iceland with just a third of One million Spots....

Re: World Cup 2018

Brazil finally woke up and won 2-0 against Costa Rica and Nigeria beat Iceland 2-0 and were impressive, particularly Moses, Mikel and Musa. Now it's Serbia and Switzerland. On with it....

Re: World Cup 2018

Really enjoyed that. In Dublin, hipster craft ale bar watching the hipster team best the Argies. Final whistle, cut straight to Evita, even the Irish hate then. Diego crying again. Mwah. A determined team game beating the individual superstars. Unexpected 3-0, but well done Croatia, especially Luca...

Re: World Cup 2018

So far,for me anyway, no stand out team over there yet. On the two viewings of Spain, I doubt they will win it. Should be a bit easier to assess after Sunday. Some of it looks predictable, but you never know. Both Iran and Morocco made good showings and were a bit unlucky really. Effectively, Denma...

Re: World Cup 2018

Spain didn't have a cake-walk against Iran either. Costa's goal was a pure fluke, the defender cleared the ball that hit Costa's shins and rebounded into the net. Iran really tried and played well. Nice to see there are no really poor teams in the tournament and the lower rated sides are giving some...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

It's true that Posh don't tend to let players leave on free if they have any value, but they don't appear to have bothered offering him a new contract and that worries me. If we sign him, I will view it as a risk unless we hear something to convince me otherwise. Posh tend to have 3-4 very good pla...

Re: World Cup 2018

Sorry to see Morocco go out today. Can't deny the goal Ronaldo scored as being a cracker, but that apart Morocco had most of the game and were really unlucky to be going home. Shame, good game and Ronaldo scarcely got a look in. Luis "Gnasher" Suarez sent Uraguay through when I'd have loved to see t...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

So, first friendly: GK: Ben Alnwick, RB: Mark Little, or Tony Kelly if he's not on holiday. LB: Andrew Taylor, CB: David Wheater, Mark Beevers, if both back from their "Sweet Caroline" tour of Northumberland. DM: Jason Lowe, AM: Oztumer, or Josh Vela, or Joe Pritchard or that big lad car-park attend...

Insano...^^ To remind. This was the post from Spots, word for word in full, without the benefit of any opinions, commenting on the topic of an M.P objecting to a vote/law being rushed through in a manner not as laid down by the government itself: That is a fact, not an opinion: Quote: " Yet more po...

Pharaohs holding the Cossacks 0-0 at half time, although I get the feeling it won't stay that way.

Senegal playing some entertaining stuff against an awful Poland side.
They just beat them 2-1, and earlier Japan beat Colombia. Senegal were full of energy and I'm not sure Poland's goal wasn't offside.

Re: The Politics Thread

Monty said, quote; "But you are quoting selectively out of context, Insano. The full context tends to support Tango's thinking that the rant is about anger over legislation." Exactly Monty. We all have wives, daughters, female grandkids etc, and nobody in their right minds would condone cranks anywh...

Re: The Politics Thread

Might regret even commenting on this topic, but I don't think Spot's post was even about skirts and the sad whackos who do such things as stick cameras up them. (These people most be in a very tiny minority, I might have come across one-such in my longish lifetime, how many do any of you know? ). I ...

Re: World Cup 2018

It'll do for starters. A win, be it against a bunch of fouling assassins is a win. Hope the same thugs frustrate Belgium. Rashford made a difference, Stirling was inneficient and Kane's treatement by the Tunisian defence made me wonder just what criteria the ref's association has laid down for this ...
