Re: Who Are The League One Managers? No.4: Phil Parkinson

And certainly NOT "has the last train gone?". Somehow (don't ask) this reminds me of a journey to Blackpool made by forum member General Mannerheim in which,if memory serves, in an inebriated state (presumably), he bought a thimble and a tie and sent himself a postcard home to prove he'd been...

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

I'm actually wondering if anybody ( especially players and team captains ) was actually aware of all these rules before the possibility of a draw loomed into view? I keep getting this mental image of a load of "Lords of the striped blazers" frantically leafing through the rules of "The W.G.Grace Wha...

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

As a country, I reckon we've lost enough "flukes" , "Hand of God"s', disallowed goals, wrong calls and blatant ref errors( our women lost a world cup football match a week ago because they scored after a ball hit one in the tulips and it was disallowed for handball after she scored?) etc in all spor...

An absolute classic from Kiwi Neesham:

"Kids, don’t take up sport. Take up baking or something. Die at 60 really fat and happy."

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

That was the flukiest win I recall for a result an any form of cricket. What the heck is this final resolution based on the number of boundaries scored by a side? It's worse than penalty kicks in football. :hang: Oh dear Duj, come on, credit where it's due, it didn't come to just that thankfully. P...

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Full of admiration also for our lads. When the game looked lost they never gave up and fielded like demons. It was a bowlers and fielders day altogether and a technical triumph for both captains. Wonderful stuff. There'll be some sore heads tomorrow no doubt. :D

Two stupid slashes from Root and out he goes. Kiwis are bowling with great pace on a mainly middle line and restricting any long handle stuff. We need to skate on some.

Theresa May is a cricket lover...er.....right...
She’s long cited Geoffrey Boycott as her biggest inspiration in life with his grit and determination to dig in. Not sure what she’d make of Roy and Bairstow 💪

Last time I saw Chester was in ."Gunsmoke".... :| Tango, how's the dementia! :) To even remember Gunsmoke hardly smacks of dementia, that's more like top gun quiz mastering... It's the short term memory goes first. He forgot which thread he was on. Just checking you're all awake...

Re: What are you watching tonight?

Doing a re-watch of BBC I player's Peaky Blinders from the start. Fantasticly filmed series and it seemed a bit surreal watching the brothers walking under the arches in Le Mans Crescent in last night's episode. Just hoping they know when to call it a day with further series. Superb T.V.
