Re: Red Hats and One-eyed Snakes - the ups and downs of new management.

In Edward de Bono's group-discussion method "Six Thinking Hats", the red hat represents a gut reaction or emotional statement, honest and visceral if often unjustified. Other meanings of red-hat include people who habitually shout down new ideas, unswervable supporters of Donald Trump, and Catholic...

Re: Today I'm angry about.....

When oh when are they going to start using tear gas, rubber bullets and hire a couple of water cannons to shift the smelly deadbeats out of London? I suppose they all walked down there and not like some of their celeb supporters used a jet from the USA that deposited 1.67 tonnes of co2 getting said ...

I hope the contractor at Notre-Dame de Paris had his insurance premiums paid up. That's really awful news and I sure hope there's no loss of life involved. Notre Dame is an icon in the Catholic religion, right back to the 13th century. . Worldwide and to many of all faiths Tango, simply it is one o...

Which is fine. But the whole point is that clearly is not the case. If she thinks (and without any foundation or qualifying remarks that the Greens are "just as useless". Because that would suggest she's interviewing not about anti-semitism but about her political viewpoint and if so there are load...

Re: The next manager

How do wanna be managers get experience? Clearly, anyone with a good pedigree is going to be beyond us, so we're left with experienced folk who've tasted failure at least once (and more likely more) or someone with no management experience but who potentially has the attributes to be a success. I'd...

Re: The next manager

Its way too early to decide because we a) don't know if we have a club next season and b) what shape it will be in. I'd say its almost certain we'll need someone with considerable experience because whatever happens the hangover is going to be bad. Modern fans are a nightmare because they think eve...

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

The players can in theory now give 14 days notice to walk away from their contracts as their March pay is more than 14 days late. Hard to see why they would do this as their contracts are usually up till 30th June and it seems unlikely another club will pay them when there is no games in May and Ju...

Re: The Politics Thread

Corbyn is clearly a good man just a little misunderstood, cannot wait for him to get into no10 so he and McDonnell can introduce what being a proper citizen entails in terms of cost etc. To the wailing undemocratic middleclass Waitrose remainers.

I'd be extremely worried if i lived in any of the Baltic states when the Federalists get their own army, Just think best units and cash going to the EU army at the cost of NATO, good excuse for Trump to pull out and an even better one for Vlad to expand his empire. Would you trust the Germans and Fr...

Wow who would have guessed Hammond was a closet Marxist. Philip Hammond, the chancellor, and John McDonnell, his Labour opposite number, are joining the cross-party talks today intended to find a Brexit compromise acceptable to the government and Labour. Both sides are having lunch together later, D...

May was in such a hurry to get down on all fours she arrived early for her meeting with Merkel and had to be dragged back out for the official photo, incompetence to a tee.

Well, they've lost six on the bounce for the first time in 20 years, so we'll soon put that right for them!
Tend to agree with that, we usually are the gift that keeps giving to teams in a rut.
