Re: European Second Referendum

Here is a prediction. May gets her 585 page legally binding "withdrawal agreement" and her 26 pages of non-legally binding weak, pathetic, agreement to have an agreement documents passed by Europe on Sunday (despite Spain and France throwing tantrums). Parliament votes on this in December the somet...

Re: Today I'm angry about.....

Norway, no way. Not unless we get a vast reduction on payment into the EU and retain the right to deal with EU migrants the same way as everyone else. There are other problems connected with this deal as far as trade agreements with non EU countries, the EU will not find it acceptable for us to tra...

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

Yep Ken ain't very popular for various reasons but who the hell do BWFCST think they are? Demanding this and that, is this the same bunch of morons who were supposedly buying the club in the first instance until they found monopoly money wasn't accepted in the real world? Ken don't communicate? Spou...

Re: Electric Cars.

What, like Windows ? What a joke! You'd be steaming. Yeah, sorry I'm late, my car was just updating! T'was true :) Telsa was sending various system updates and you could actually purchase certain upgrades as well. To be fair they do leave the line like @ off a hot shovel but too many potential...

Re: Electric Cars.

Had a guy showing me one of these once, full of nifty tricks like using his phone to manoeuvre it round his driveway and all the fancy bits on his huge screen, looked good but I wasn't really impressed by the overall finish for that sort of cash outlay. Read a test recently were real world range was...

At least the French, to give them some credit, know how to revolt.

Re: General Chit Chat

Are the forty one days of Christmas over yet? I'm thinking of going into business (now I've been made redundant). I'm thinking of producing Advent Calendars: the 2019 one will count down from December 1st. The 2020 one from October 31st, and the 2021 one will count down from January 1st. Sel...

Re: Today I'm angry about.....

I'm saying that there is no evidence that harsher punishments deter crime. There are other reasons for punishment over deterrence but was specifically saying that putting people into a hole in a ground and making them eat mud and rabbit droppings for 20 years doesn't necessarily have the effect on ...

Re: The Politics Thread

"Short of viable candidates" I'd say "complete absence of viable candidates" applies to the Tories - Not so much Labour, who have a few, but due to the current thirst for extreme leftism the viable ones won't be on the table I'd probably say there are more viable Tory leaders given as you say they ...

Re: Man's Inhumanity to Inhumans...

Really cannot believe what I have just read!!!!! An orangutan kept as a prostitute in an Indonesian village 'screamed and defecated' when the brothel madam who kept her captive visited her in a rescue centre. She had been ruthlessly and abhorrently exploited by local palm oil farmers who would come ...

Re: The Politics Thread

To paraphrase Mencken: As democracy develops high office will represent ever closer the muddled opinions of the people. At some point the people's vote will achieve it's wish and Downing Street will be adorned by a downright moron. Well, we've already recently been given an idiot (Cameron), and are...
