Re: Crushes

One disagreed and said they should stop when y...

Know nothing about the band, but Kasabian (who I've heard mentioned on here several times) are on "Later, with Jools Holland" on TV tonight; 11-35 on BBC2. Just mentioned it in case any fans missed it.

"Bernard Cornwell's three Grail novels. About an English bowman." Any good, have always been tempted but not quite Readable in the historical sense as Cornwell is good on detail. Found them passable without being riveting. Might give them a go then, will look for cheapies on ebay and the local book...

Have to rate a few of equal standing for me. Not surprisingly, dance figures highly: Dirty Dancing . At 16, the world's your oyster. Pity it all had to end.....Cynthia Rhodes lives on. Strictly Ballroom , laugh a minute. Great performances from some Aussie actors. Hope and Glory . Brillian...

Just read Bernard Cornwell's three Grail novels. About an English bowman. How ironic; I just wrote three novels about an English bowman. Also reading "Grand Slam", the life story of American golfer Bobby Jones. Just finished the latest Reacher novel "The Hard Way" by Lee Childs. Reacher makes all th...

Most of the politically correct brigade are probably too young to know what a world war and its effect on countries actually mean. Either that or their parents didn't actually become involved is some way (unlikely) or are dead. Give them six months on ration books, no petrol, little food, fear of b...

Have I read the Bible, do I know it word for word from cover to cover? Have I hell, I read passages of it and try to relate those passages to my time, and do I hell as know it word for word. Do you?. Have you read all the Bible or are you just taking convenient snatches of it and quoting them to su...

Gee Commie, what a disappointment; nothing to debate about. For once I am in total agreement. Well put indeed. My father was in the Second World War. Like most other ordinary working class people, he didn't want to be, he just went to fight for his country. We always visited the memorial on the Town ...

Ethnic Cleansing (etc.. some grisley gruesomeness snipped... This is an interesting question (though often simply used as a tool for flame wars.. - so apologies if that's what was intended rather than a serious attempt to understand...) if you view the Old Testment (or - to be more PC - the Hebrew ...

Commie. I know little about you or you about me. I believe in certain things (along with the other two billion Christians in the world) you believe in others. I was born and baptised a Catholic. I was raised as a Catholic, I am a Catholic. I didn't say the Bible was flawed, just that some aspects of...
