I'm just beginning to realise we need a government sponsored training course: "how to navigate entering old age comfortably..."
Can't be done buddy. It's a minefield out here.

Re: Today I'm neither Angry nor Happy about....

Oh, the joys of never having to work again! Walking the dog today I've been invited to: Volunteer to post Brexit pamphlets in my area - like it's not his fxcking area. To join Knit and Knatter in the Community Centre - I'd prefer to Poke My Eyes Out with a burnt needle. To come and visit 'our Soup ...

Re: The next manager

Wheater on Parky: “He has the respect of the players,” he said. “The stuff he had to go through last year, I don’t think many other managers would have done that. But he loses his job – which manager would want to come and take over? I hope that he stays, I know he likes me so maybe there would be ...

To be honest, Berrettini just isn't that good. There just isn't any depth outside the big 3 especially these days.
I'm no tennis authority by any means so I'll take your word for it jmjhb. Just seems some decent stuff being played at the moment.

Re: Tonight's Football

That handball was ludicrous. Don't think that's aWWC thing though. That's European thing. Was a shambles in the champions League too. No way that was a pen tonight. [/b] I think anybody who saw it would agree without doubt; yet Japan are going home because of it. . Netherlands just bullied them all...

Re: The official Bolton Stream/Radio link thread.

Jut a thought: Things being as they are, I'm wondering if we'll have match commentary from Tower Radio this season ? I suppose it depends on the likes of Axfords etc and those who have supported us so far for sponsorship. Sure hope so.

Re: General Chit Chat

We have a glass board about two feet by eighteen inches for most cutting (wife is banned from slicing bread for the same reason she doesn't paint straight lines) She uses Dettol antiseptic surface cleaner and hot water after every meal on it. . We have only two other chop boards, one for any onions ...

Re: Tennis, anyone.....?

Not the world's greatest tennis fan and no authority is for sure, but Rafa Nadal v Nick Kirgios tonight was a really fantastic match and great entertainment. Nadal won in the end, but didn't have it all is own way. Really enjoyed that.

Re: Administration and recovery

Can we all agree that we are fxcked for the new season? In which case, despite all the negatives, it is sensible to ditch Parkinson and start afresh. In fact it is imperative. Relegated, minus 12 points, no players, no money = Brexit. Allow Parky (Teresa May) to sort it. Fails miserably. New manage...

Re: Tonight's Football

I've watched it all, so I'll see it out tonight Will you also watch the third/fourth place play-off game, Tango? If ever there was a game of football in any competition that nobody's in the least bit interested in, it's this. Did you take a poll on that then? and if I should choose to watch it, who...

Re: General Chit Chat

I've read a lot of argument, discussions etc, etc, regarding Bolton as a town. I found this article from two years ago, not in the Bolton News, but in the Guardian. I just got back from a shopping trip to Bolton (which we do once a week generally) and, well, little has changed. Where did it really all...

Re: Tonight's Football

I've watched it all, so I'll see it out tonight and hope Sweden take out the Netherlands. (Oh how I'd love to see them take out the Doodles in the final) Hope the Lionesses can win the third spot and get a medal. They well deserve that, particularly Stephanie Houghton (Mrs Stephen Darby), the braves...

Just watched that nice Rory Stewart interviewed on the tube. Educated at Dragon School, Eton College and Balliol College, he started his response to every question with the word, "So". So do I. :) So what? So fia is the capital of Bulgaria. So far as I know you’re correct So, Sofia is the capital o...
