How many out of play punts is that?

Fcuking woeful.
Just think of all the chances we’ll have to win 5-0 again next year
Well we'll likely get someone's U21's in the tin-pot.

75 minutes was when we scored against Reading...
Don’t forget FA cup rounds 1 and 2 too. It’ll be great!

God this is bad. Tempted to throw Vic and Dempsey on which might change our approach a bit and ask some other questions.

Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm

We’ve been absolutely awful. Not sure whether it’s a case of Oxford pressing and closing off our options really well, or us being a bit tense and not making those bold decisions to move the ball forwards. We just havent done anything.

Maybe if Charles is fit, a couple of 30 minute run outs for NI might get him a bit of sharpness back so he’s more ready to make an impact when he comes back for us.

Bogey teams are a nonsense and pure statistical noise

Anything head-to-head beyond 5 years (at a push) is meaningless.
Well yeah. How Sam Allardyce’s Bolton did against Paul Jewell’s (or whoever’s) Derby is hardly going to inform Evatt’s thinking for the weekend.

Why do you think he's being targeted & bullied? Maybe something to do with being widely regarded as one of - if not the - best players in the division???? He’s being bullied because he lacks the physical attributes to win those battles and teams do it because it’s working. We can’t keep doing the s...

Frustrating. It feels like now is the time that we need to be hoovering up points bearing in mind what’s to come.

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Just about the worst day we could have had. Started it in a good position with no Ashwin for them. We could have made steps towards winning the game today, but we’ve lost 8/100 and then watched them saunter to 180-1.

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Very sloppy in the field from England. They won’t be happy at all with that. Drops. Too many runs handed away. Big job here to save this test I think. We’re going about the batting nicely. Hopefully we can keep going, as we often see how quick wickets can change things. A good score from Root after...

Starting to look like a 400 chase. But another couple for Jimmy so far.
As many wickets for him in this test as in the 4 he played in summer.

We’ve fought back well here. Usually you wouldn’t give a team a chance chasing 400, but we’ve learned never to write off this England team!

Re: There's a Moose loose about these U's, Cambridge United Away 6th Feb 2024

This is a must-win imo if we have automatic promotion targets. It's all well and good having games in hand but gotta get the points eventually. I mean yes but equally we have to acknowledge we are going through a tricky patch here with key injuries and new players being integrated. It feels like a ...

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Excellent day so far. Finished them off effectively, and then made a positive start with the bat. Need to keep going now.
Also, great effort by Anderson. It takes a lot to come back from the summer he had, train for 7 months for a tough India trip and then bowl so wonderfully.

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Happy to admit Hartley proved me wrong. Interesting article from Atherton today about the data available to selectors now and how that will help them identify key attributes for players to succeed in specific conditions. Apparently Hartley has long been considered an option for Indian tours due to h...

If a player did want to choose Wrexham over us, that’s fair enough. What I would say is that would show he’s likely not got the character or ambition we really want here, so I wouldn’t be losing sleep on us missing out on him.

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

It has shown how poor our depth of spinners are in this country. We’ve got away with Leach, Moeen and Rashid for a while, but beyond that there really is a dearth.
