Re: Pre-season 2025
Nasty challenge from Johnston sacks their new player Kwayiba. Yellow. Bit rough for pre-season.

Re: Pre-season 2025
A lot of very encouraging signs here, although I think it's fair to point out that Orlando look like they're very undercooked. Apparently they're at the same stage of the pre-season as we are. First game of pre-season. So there should be few excuses to put around. A big claim possibly could be the ...

Re: Pre-season 2025
Some really good tackles and blocks coming in from Toal and Johnston.
We've comfortably been the better side in this second half. Pirates upping the tempo now.

Re: Pre-season 2025
Toal effort cleared off the line and the resulting corner headed in by Johnston. 2-0. Lovely header, rustiness shaken off it seems

Re: Pre-season 2025
Much better up top with McAtee, Lawrence and Cosier-Duberry. Looking a lot better.
McAtee with some good interplay.
Cosier-Duberry wearing the #2. So much for the no number 2 for the wingers.

Re: Pre-season 2025
Dodgy keeper moment alert. Keeper praising the defender and completely misses Johnston's return pass. Looked like a pass Johnston didn't need to make, but it was an interesting moment. Not really a threat, but just one to raise the eyebrows. Another dodgy moment from George Johnston at the back. Fir...

Re: Pre-season 2025
Complete change for the second half. Sharples-Ahmed and Hutchinson the only ones left on the bench.
Apparently the goalkeeper is Nathan Broome, which is a great name for a sweeper keeper.

Re: Pre-season 2025
We looked much better after the water break. Hopefully that's a good sign given the coaches managed to have a word.

Re: Pre-season 2025
Set piece, flick on, Warren taps it past the keeper.
Set piece training seems to be paying off. 1-0 to Bolton.

Re: Pre-season 2025
They have fixed the mirroring. The 'Wanderers TV' logo is upside down in the bottom corner, which would be a lot more humorous if we were playing an Australian team rather than a South African side. Seems like both sides are nullifying each other. We had a good 10 minutes, lately it seems more like ...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread
A name that I wonder might be on our radar is Ethan Wheatley . 19 year old Stockport born striker who's currently on United's books, but presumably won't get much of a sniff there this season with their expected incomings. Disappointing loan spell with Walsall at the back-end of last season, but sc...

That would be like giving Henrik Pedersen the number 3. No matter how much LB he plays, it still just wouldn't suit.

Re: Pre-season 2025
Dalby has never had a hamstring injury in his career, a couple of days into pre season with us and bang. I know it can happen anytime, but questions need to be asked about the BWFC training methods and intensity for 2 x players to get hamstring injuries a couple of days into pre season - surely the...

Christy Pym? You are making these up. Nope that was a genuine suggestion - Mansfield released him. But Bertie is on the money - Nixon has said we’re in for Jamie Jones*, and Iles has said he might be onto something… *late of Salford, previously of Wigan, born in Kirkby, started at Everton five year...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread
New signings... Teddy Sharman-Lowe Richard Taylor Xavier Simons Thierry Gale Sam Dalby Amario Cozier-Duberry Charlie Warren I would imagine, from that squad build so far, that TSL will get first choice. Taylor and Simons likewise. Gale and Cozier-Duberry interchanging on wings and crossing. Warren t...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread
You wait ages for a signing, then nine come along at once... Nine debut pro contracts signed by Julian's young Whites, who you imagine will now be the backbone of the B team. All 18, they've completed their two-year scholarships. . Screenshot 2025-07-01 at 17.51.00.png . Left to right: • forward Da...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread
Some of the older players on that list would probably do a good job covering. I do wonder whether Owain Fon Williams would still be capable of stepping in should we need. Although he's 3 years since his last match so I don't think it'd be suitable.

Re: Are we up for the cups in 2025/26?
Happy with the cup draws. Rotherham's probably the least exciting of the bunch given we're already going to be playing them this season.
Oldham's a great draw given it's a lesser derby of sorts, but still North West based.
