Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

Peterborough a very weird side. Were on great form but they don't look much - maybe making so many changes in midweek and then back again, maybe that they've lost impetus as Derby kept winning. Hard to put momentum back on, which is a reason a good win for us here would be doubly lovely Quite incre...

Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

Barnsley, by the way, have conceded two or more goals in each of their last seven games. One clean sheet in the last 18 games - a 0-0 at home to Cheltenham, who are in the relegation zone. I suspect that may be a case of resting on their laurels given how many points ahead they were ahead (and inde...

Feels like we've took the foot off the gas and are letting Peterborough back into it.

Barnsley winning means its Oxford as it stands.

Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

Bottle-job Barnsley dropping out of the play offs at the eleventh hour, last minute Lincoln losing their spot to Blackpool as it stands.

A win for Lincoln or Barnsley would change it.

Wouldn't like to see Blackpool creep in given their form, would much rather Barnsley feeling sorry for themselves.

One more goal takes us top of the goalscoring charts (joint top) and then all we need is Carlisle to do their job.

I'm not sure on Peterborough's marketing. Posh! Bosh!

What's that all about?

Well sadly no chance for Josh Vela to make himself a hero for us today. Only other representative we've got in Carlisle's game is Sam Lavelle who played youth team football at ours. Doesn't matter who does it, we need to win two games today by a decent margin.

Lets go.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GMKg3KvWsAAInL-?format=jpg&name=small Damn, no Maghoma. They're saying he's missing out due to illness and we've got to take them at their word, but it wouldn't surprise me if the club have thought it's a bit of a lost cause and we'd benefit from resting him. Not that th...

Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

Williams could start on the right I suppose. Anyway team will be picked now. My gut is we’ll peter (ha!) out to a draw here as Derby will take an early lead, Carlisle will equalise late on but we’ll end the day as we started. You'd have to expect the team to have been picked by now. Odds are we've ...

Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

Baxter Jones Santos Iredale Sheehan JDC Maghoma Thomason Ogbeta Charles Collins The above is on the proviso that all those players are fully fit. If Derby are winning at HT then sub off Santos, Sheehan, Maghoma, JDC and Collins. Seems a sensible side you've picked there. Were it not for the case of...

Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

Eyes on the league, we've got to beat Peterborough to stand any chance and hope Derby drop points. It all came good in 2018 when we beat Peterborough, Derby beat Barnsley 4-1 (a certain Cameron Jerome opening the scoring and secure a playoff place themselves) and 10 man Preston ending Burton's 3 ga...

Re: Season 23/24 Predictions

I'm just finding it a bit hard to see where Charles and co missing basic sitters is Evatt's fault. Must be me.. You can't blame Evatt for strikers missing the odd 1 or 2, but when you miss the amount of sitters that we do given the amount of chances we create, and its several of the strikers missin...

Re: Season 23/24 Predictions

I'm just finding it a bit hard to see where Charles and co missing basic sitters is Evatt's fault. Must be me.. I find this a really reductive. Nothing that happens on a field can be directly labelled as ‘managers fault’. But they are accountable for the results and outcomes at the end of the day. ...

Re: The Nostradamus file....

It’s a completely different scenario but we’ve seen clearly and Evatt has admitted how ‘playing our strongest team’ in the cups hasn’t helped us. When you are Bolton in league one the only thing that matters and it is the only thing is getting out of the league via promotion. I think we’ve somewhat...

^^ Imagine how delighted we'll be when we sneak second! I too had 3rd, Charles, May and Derby...the poor one for me was Charlton who I had 2nd... Saw yours and thought that's decent, so went looking for my own. I'm sure we'll both be quite happy to be proven wrong if it meant promotion at the end o...

Re: Season 23/24 Predictions

Bolton final position: 3rd Bolton top scorer: Charles League one winners: Derby League one top scorer: May I think we're over half way there towards improving on last season's squad. Some major concerns over GK and RB given what we've lost but hopefully our new signings can come good. If what i'm r...

Re: Breaking pots... Home v Port Vale Sat 20th Apr. 3-0'Clock.

Lets face it, we're play off bound.

I struggle to see a reality where:

- Derby lose to Carlisle at home
- Bolton beat Peterborough away
- Overturn a 4 goal deficit

Might be better to do the Barnsley Semi and meet Lincoln in the final given the form of the teams.
