Re: The Big Shiny World Cup thread
I’m supporting neither of them, in an ideal world they both lose, and won’t be watching. This is the first World Cup where I have barely watched a thing outside of the England games and even those didn’t stir up that much enthusiasm. Ditto. I have as much interest in the final as I have in the goin...

I really should take more time to listen to Podcasts, when I've made the effort it's often been well worth it. Saves popping Xmas songs on in the car for every long journey. My recco if you've not heard it, is The Chernobyl Podcast. Listen to it after watching the HBO mini series. Incredible and bl...

This is still a farce of a comp, for me, whichever way I try and look at it. Edit: There certainly wasn't a point yesterday where I said to mesen "Must get wrapped up and go and watch this!" :-) Indeed, however, you and I both know that we'll be banging our polo-shirted beer bellies together down o...

This was like Man Utd kids B or C team. Its not even their best youngsters. I'm happy to win and be through and good god Wembley is in sight and we should do everything we can to get there. But they were dreadful. We didn't win a meaningful game last night we beat a team that wouldn't survive the u...

You may like 'There's No Such Thing As A Fish' Bruce. A weekly podcast (currently over 450 episodes) where 4 of the people who write questions for QI (tv programme) bring a weird fact to the table to discuss. For instance, there's no such thing as a fish. Co-hosted by fellow Boltonian James Harken ...

I see that their goalie's modelling himself on Ben 'the hologram' Amos.
This got me thinking - Have Man U ever produced their own successful keeper?
I can only think of Jimmy Rimmer, however, he spent all his time there as understudy to Alex Stepney and left.

I guess this thread covers podcasts too. I've only recently got in to listening to them, so any recommendations, gratefully received. Anyway, today on the drive back up from darn sarf, I've been listening to 'Acid Dream'. The blurb - Acid Dream: The Great LSD Plot Radio Wales In the 1970s it’s estim...

Been trying to play/listen to more new music to keep up with the kids. A lot of misses but the Weeknd's latest album Dawn FM is a banger. Louder Than War have released their 'Top 100 Albums of 2022'. Of it, I've heard of 11 of the artists and heard none of the albums. I have seen Fontaines D...

It's been a grand day in terms of beers drunk but ultimately 2 games and 2 defeats. At 2-1 up I didn't see anything other than a 2-1 or 3-1 win. We were on top, playing well etc then boom. We've lost. Then I tuned into the England game  The Masala. It's on St Julian's Friars. Cheer thissen up....

I was saddened by the passing of HM The Queen, and by that of The Duke of Edinburgh, too. However, I couldn't give a tin shit as to what Ginger Bollocks and his attention whore have to say about anything.
I wouldn't mind seeing the results of the DNA test though.

And now the Dutch have come back from 2 down to extra time...Shock after shock.... I really cannot understand for the life of me as to why they made no attempt whatsoever to carry that momentum into Extra Time. If you play for a shoot-out then you really can't have any complaints when you go out. R...

Got tickets for this and stopping down there. Watch it get bloody postponed now! I'm told the fanzone opens in the morning due to the early kick off. The thought of stood outside in the cold, drinking over priced fizz at half ten in the morning isn't making the game any more appealing. 0-2 defeat I...

Along with Jean Jacques Burnel, they created THE dirtiest, yet driven rhythm section. Something the teenage me just adored for how it sounded, and that the adult me appreciates.
Cheers for all of it, Fella.
