Best 5K time today since Worsley Woods PR in Sept 18. Yeay :D
Good going matey. 👍

Ps. Was it quicker than Leeds parkrun day after that Maiden tribute gig? 😁
Cheers, Dude.

I think 'putting the bins out' is quicker than we were that morning :D

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

But lets not forget at least in cricket there is a defined system whereby the 'right' decision more often than not is reached - and on field judgement of teams and umpires is relevant. In football you have video technology that by its own admission is still getting the decisions wrong - 3 out of 3 ...

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Three successful LBW appeals by them. What do these umpires do for a day job? Guessing like the players they can get out of nick after a long time off. They can’t even head to the nets in the build up. Must take a bit of time to get their eye in for judging LBWs at that pace. I'm not sure they can ...

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Well, at 204 we're left to consider the maxim that we don't actually know if that's truly a shit tally until they've batted too. I suspect it might well be though.

^^ When the wicket cracks on day 2 and Dom Bess spins them out for 36 in the 4th innings, you'll look back and give your head a shake! :D Mate, I correctly forecast the weather more often than the Met Office, simply by calling their opposite. I reckon that if I start putting money on it I'll have e...

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Further shit umpiring and it's 71-4 87-5 now. Batting lineup on paper looked weak and that is how it transpires. Still don't think they've been helped by the bizarre decision to bat first.....but there we are. Couldn't agree more. Ridiculous decision. It might get better for batting in vs it's perf...

Re: The athletics/running thread

My second best time for the Bolton PR course since Jan 19 tonight, and 55 seconds per KM quicker (less slow) than this time last month. Oh trust me, it's really not as impressive as it sounds ;)

Meh. We only got beaten 3-0 by Man City... Therefore Arsenal better then Liverpool?! 🤔 😉

By that logic, Southampton must be better than Arsenal. 😉
Only, Arsenal never have their keeper get lobbed from the halfway line. Oh, hang on.... :D

I guess it’s the length of the deal. 3 years is huge for a 32 year old.
We're hardly likely to end up wheeling the 4ucker out in a bath chair, and it's hardly like he's expected to go box to box. Proven goalscorer = an excellent piece of business, I say.

Re: Pies in administration

One thing I've never understood (and have no particular wish to either) is that supporters of Wigan RL and supporters of Wigan FC have a passionate hatred of each other. I'm quite sure that if we had an RL side then I'd support them as well as BWFC.

Two-year contractual embargo on signing Barrow players. Presumably not those who lapse out of contract.
Sounds rather futile. We're under an embargo and we've nae brass anyhow.

I have this feeling which I can only best describe as a 'nervous excitement'. It's a feeling I haven't felt since we appointed Rioch.

Now then - what are the season ticket arrangements? :)

Re: Pies in administration

I wish them no ill whatsoever. However, what will stick in the craw though will be if they successfully sell off Euxton for a bloody fortune as housing development land after our lot were thick enough to sell it to them as a football training set-up. Trevor Birch did it to keep the lights on and le...
