Re: Today I'm angry about.....
I see the Freemasons are upset that folk might think they have an undue influence in some areas of life. Takes me back a good few years to a night shift whilst working for Her Majesty,, when I saw a car being driven all over the road. The vehicle refused to stop, despite the blues n twos and we had ...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
So far this season, neither our centre backs or our midfielders have weighed in with goals. Get CYL in who might contribute 3 or 4 plus another striker to contribute the same and we might just cover Madine's expected tally until the end of the season ( If, IF he continues his current form, which is ...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
Surely the barometer for any fee should be what Preston get for Hugill? Madine is under contract and has been involved in 60% of our goals, with double figures at the moment? Why shouldn’t we get market value for our striker because we are Bolton? Because we are skint and Ken isn't putting a penny ...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
Madine's contract is worth around 750k, so any deal has to take that into consideration, as he's not asked for a transfer. Talk of 10 million is ludicrous. I reckon it'll be nearer half that and at that money, I'd take it. One player out has never made that much difference. We lost Rickets and survi...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
According to Alan Nixon (yes, I know) we're chasing an English premier league centre half on a loan, with a view to a permanent signing. Must be someone almost out of contract!

Blackpool/Thornton Cleveleys is akin to Eccles/Worsley and Harwood/Breightmet!

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Has it gone then?? Not been brave enough to venture round there for years. I did wander into Bolton town centre last spring but found it so depressing I can't see me ever going again tbh.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
i was planning to retire on the dosh I'd made, but clearly, there's been precious little capital growth up here. Donald Trump coined the mot juste for your area only yesterday. Now get back to work. :D Thanks. The next time I'm strolling through Adlington on my way up to the Bay Horse for a firesid...

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Feckin housing inflation, or actually, the lack of it up here. My next door neighbour has just put her house up for sale, for about 20 grand more than I paid for mine 7 years ago. Given all the hype in the papers, i was planning to retire on the dosh I'd made, but clearly, there's been precious litt...

Chocolate. I'm not sure if it's me or my taste buds but since late last year, it tastes so sugary and sweet, just the thought of it makes me feel sick. I know plenty of brands have changed their recipes recently, but is it just me??
On the upside, not eating it is saving me plenty of calories.

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
Someone mentioned trying to take Vaughan on loan from Sunderland earlier in the thread? Rumour has it he may be off to Fleetwood, who have really struggled so far this season. There is some suggestion they might lose young Cole in this transfer window and will need a replacement. Personally, I'd be ...

We don't seem to have had a single decent chance since Madine's missed header. Poor.very poor.

Can we sneak something? I'd take a point but a sneaky Sammy 25 yarder would make my Christmas, particularly if the scum concede again!

Well feck me! I'm quite stunned and loving the result. I've even been to the trouble of going to Home Bargains for a bag of popcorn. It's opened and I'm now sat here waiting for Bruce to appear and lavish praise on Madine........

Re: Time to Declare...
The amazing thing is that after a very short career so far, Spearing would never have to work again I suspect, if he ended his career tomorrow. He must be seriously kicking his agent for being so greedy. A bit like Mario Melchiot, who's agent turned down £38k to stay at Birmingham City. He ended up ...
