Re: If we can't find our tackle, we live like a Monk. Bolton v Boro 9/9/17.

I had a choice today. Pay £28 to watch that shower of sh*te (plus train fare or fuel + parking) or go to the local club and spend just over a tenner on 4 pints, sarnies and chips whilst watching City v Liverpool. No brainer. I can't see us winning and I can't honestly see myself being motivated enou...

That new contract for PP is looking ever more like a premature decision. Clearly, he's tactically out of his depth at this level.

I dislike myself for being so negative, but I can only see an absolute hammering tomorrow. 1-4 and the beginning of a crisis.

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017

Boooooooooo! Booooooooooo! This was a feckin rubbish thread that left me with a tangible feeling of disappointment. No marquee signing, no world cup winners and no imposing 'beast of a man' midfielders. Instead, we now seem to have 13 wingers and #notafeckinsoul to play in the middle Boooooooooooo! ...

Re: Freedman out!

Perhaps a job with less pressure would be good for him too. Some of the press conferences he was in when he was with us were a bit bizarre. And he looked like he had just woken up on a park bench after drinking 4 cans of special brew. I wish him well and think it is probably a more suitable role fo...

Re: A visit from the Pride without Prejudice....

Anything less than 3 points and it's already looking like a long, hard season. A draw would give us 2 points from a possible 9, with 2 of those games having been at home. That isn't getting us anywhere near safe. Sadly, I'm going for 1-1 and I suspect that might be optimistic. On another note, I fan...

Sorry to pierce the positivity balloon, not that there's been one yet on here, but I'm predicting us going down to 10 men within 35 minutes and a 1-3 loss. I'll be watching on Sky and listening to most on't wireless this season as £30 a ticket is just taking the pish. That'll no doubt get a predicta...

Welcome back, Bijou, and what a blistering and immediate return to form with your opening gambit. Not a waste of an afternoon, not a cause for anxiety, but a waste of a tenner! Re: Pre-season fixtures 2017

Just back in and what a waste of a tenner. We started playing 5 at the back, but even with Ameobi filling in on the right and often playing wingback, our 6 were outnumbered and outclassed. Fleetwood walked through the centre midfield unchallenged, Karacan was completely anonymous and Ameobi didn't f...

Anyone going to the match this afternoon at Fleetwood? It's sunny, £10 on the door and with a bit of luck, a few decent trialists to be thrown in. Oh, and the pies aren't too shabby either.

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017

I don't share your confidence that his love ( Or his agent's) for Bolton would overrule a double your money deal at what would be the end of his career, not to mention a nice signing on fee. In respect of Hollden, I reckon if Wenger goes, a couple of defensive signings might push Holden down the pec...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017

The biggest issue I foresee is replacing Wheater. A dozen goals, player of the year and an injury free season probably mean one of the bigger players will come in with a decent 2 year deal that will blow anything we can offer out of the water. I'd look to see if we could get Holding in on loan, or l...

Re: What will we need if we're in the Championship next season?

If we're going to play the same system next year, with someone feeding off Madine, we need someone as cover for him or preferably, someone with a better eye for goal. I can't understand why PP brought Long in, given the way he wanted us to play. I'd have thought someone like Grant Holt would have be...

Re: "It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves" Bolton vs Posh 30th April

I was at Wrexham, I was at Hull, I was at Burnden for the Preston game and by feck I'll be there on Sunday, for what will hopefully turn out to be more of the same. I really don't fancy us in a play off situation. I'll take a 92nd minute penalty, although my heart might not. I'm predicting an early ...

Re: The countdown- Where will we finish?

Fleetwood have 3 tough games coming up with Swindon at home, Oxford away and Oldham away. If they lose 2 out of those 3 and we can take 4 points from the next 3 matches, arguably our hardest of the run in, I think we're up automatically. I quite fancied a trip to Wembley, but I'd take 2nd all day.
