Born in Heywood ( ) many a year ago. Moved to Radcliffe for 4 years when I was about 8 and then moved on to Bury. From there to North Wales for a couple of years, back to Heywood for a year and then back to North Wales. Eventually moved to London back in '93 for work. This year I moved north ...

Re: Blatter/Platini 1, Common Sense 0
Refresh my memory, what's wrong with goal-line technology? Well, there's clearly no need for it. http://www.theage.com.au/ffximage/2005/01/05/wbunited_narrowweb__200x260.jpg You've got a doctored image there, Bruce. I think you'll find that the ball was nowhere near to being over the line ht...

Tipping etiquette also varies according to where you are in the States. For example in New York a tip of double the sales tax is considered about right (worked out around 16% last time I was there). As a rule of thumb don't give less than 10% unless service was truly awful, 15% - 20% is fine. If you...

Having been several times for work...here's my places to go/avoid... For food avoid Ming Court...some of the most minging (see what I did there) chinese food I've encountered. Olive Garden is average at best. If you want a bit of steak then Charley's Steakhouse is very good. Once voted America's 4th...

I don't disagree that it's not ideal, or even the way i'd have it. But as they are the rules, I can't honestly say that I'd mind if we won the World cup with a naturalised British citizen in the side. Like I mentioned previously, the lynchpin for Spains recent success has been a midfielder born in ...

Like you equate all people not earning very much/below the poverty line with work-shy low-lifes? Whats good for the goose and all that........... Whoah there. Thats some pretty big leaping you're doing there. Lets rewind to what we both said... I said "a larger than necessary number of people". By ...

I'm of the opinion that the 50% rate is wrong. Many of the people that earn 150k work damn hard for it. Why should they pay so that larger than necessary number of people can lay about doing nothing constructive in society? A 150k sounds like a lot to the average man on the street but to someone wo...

Might be worth jigging around the numbers, just so we can get Jussi in. The man is a legend of the Bok. Also, as post counts are guaranteed to increase for every user, could we reset the bars? i.e. put lofty at 25k, one at 20k, one at 15k, one at 10k etc. If someone can reach 10,000 posts and only ...
