Re: General Chit Chat

Today has been the worst day so far in our supermarket. If the customers carry on like today tomorrow I'm shutting up shop and they can starve :whack:

Re: General Chit Chat

Hobes, I start Xmas planning in May. Even then I know broadly what folk will buy and I can use past data and year to date trends to try and get volumes right. Despite being 40% up last Christmas I'd been able to plan that sort of surge in custom as the trend that summer had been 20-40% increases. Fo...

Re: COVID-19/20 season

Starting where we left off, reduced break and pre season, condense next season? I can hear Pep, Klopp and co with the 50 man squads squeal now... Every answer has a counter problem. And theres the rub. Whichever way they jump someone's going to be hugely pissed off. For me I'd stop this season wher...

Re: General Chit Chat

If anyone trys stockpiling bog roll from my shop they'll be told to put it back on the shelf unless they want to pay triple (the extra going to charity). Thankfully no one seems to be trying to stockpile here apart from the folk who shop at Coop.

If you think they're bad in Kent, you want to see them up here. There's more hole than road in many many places here. In fact, they're less a hole than a fecking Loch given the rain we've had for the last 4 months. I've got webbed feet! Same in the North West. Some roads are a complete mess - and i...

Yada, yada, yada... If you want to continue mindlessly shouting at US tech companies for potholes in British roads don't let me stop you. Whilst I agree that it is political choices, there is a correlation between the wear and tear caused by amazon shifting product around the country and the paucit...

Never heard of it. Presumably some nonsense dreamt up by FIFA/UEFA to make more money by having more fixtures than ever before.

Re: General Chit Chat

This Coronavirus thing, should we start to worry? Personally I do think movement from certain parts of the world should be very restricted from some countries, now, before it's too late. The last thing the NHS needs are streams of people queing up for tests. I read somewhere this entire football se...

Re: General Chit Chat

So, we had a points based system after all. Why did we have to leave the EU to get one?

Can we not just accept that governments of all stripes have allowed huge amounts of immigration to support our economy? You still get to argue if that is good or bad.

I do find the whole thing a bit ludicrous. He's a lawyer and I think he might lie is more of a problem than the bloke actually min office that is a proven serial liar. I hear this sort of thing all the time. Folk more worried about what someone might be , usually based on prejudice, than the person ...

Re: Not enough said Moore....

Based on Hill's utterances I also don't think he is the man to take us back up next season in League 2, but he has been dealt a bad hand so its only fair that we give him an opportunity prove us wrong. I don't agree. I think all the signs on and off the pitch are that he's completely the wrong man ...

Re: This weeks RIP's........

Joel Douglas, the less famous son of the actor Kirk, was performing at the Comedy Store and getting increasingly frustrated by the audience reaction. He started shouting: "You can't do this to me, I'm Kirk Douglas's son!" At which point some wag stood up and said: "No, I'm Kirk Douglas's son." Then...
