Re: Tooling up: The summer 2024 transfer thread

I understand the Dion divisional doubts but by gum he's earned the right to have a crack. AC/DC with Vic in reserve, Dan I suppose and then maybe one more given JDB/Jerome likely out. Absolutely deserves his shot, but with JDB and Jerome presumably off the roster we need someone that can have impac...

Re: Tooling up: The summer 2024 transfer thread

A league up I think we're needing upgrades on the likes of Dempsey and Morley needs to start showing more. I know Morley hasn't had much game time in recent months, but he's largely underwhelmed when he's had a chance. I'd also feel more comfortable with someone a little more proven in the Champions...

Probably think they found the formula in winding Toal up. We just need cool heads and the knacking of Cosgrove can wait until we're out of sight or at the death when any consequence matters little.
Bring on Caleb Taylor purely to smash the f*cker into the stand
A grand plan

Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock

Have felt pretty confident since Friday. This morning though post coffee am absolutely bricking it. Guess it’s just pre match normal fears but seeing Barnsley fans suddenly feel confident isn’t helping. Barnsley fans are suddenly feeling confident? Strange, if true. Probably think they found the fo...

Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

There is too much talk. Too much ‘keeping of receipts’. Not enough ‘we are going to internalize this and come out and absolutely win every game we need to’. He's get criticised if he came out and said that Doesn't need to say it. Just do it. For the press etc he can just trot out all the cliches ma...

Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

I think it is part of the culture Evatt has created. It's good that it creates a togetherness and a confidence in each other, but it also makes the noises coming from players and manager sound a bit hollow when they're saying we didn't do enough/play well enough etc. That togetherness needs utilisin...

Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

I think what many want is someone that pulls the rest of the team up when things are not working or going south. Think Beckham v Greece or Gerrard in Istanbul. I think we've seen glimpses of that with the likes of Thomason, but our 'calm' style of play I don't think lends itself to a bit of blood an...
