Re: Returning to the ground

We had someone in yesterday that is exempt from wearing a mask. Today back in having forgot they are exempt and sporting a rather natty blue number  An English tourist proclaimed that tomorrow is freedom day so I don't have to wear a mask today. Even if that made any sense, the fact she was in...

Re: European Finals.

My only criticism is bring subs on to take penalties so late on. They didn't have time to get into it, take some touches and get ja feel for it. Taking a penalty so soon after coming on was a recipe for disaster. Well done Italy. Better team on the day. Plenty of room for the England lads to progres...

Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Thread.

Craig McGillivray has signed for Charlton. I understand budgets etc, but I feel that's a miss. He's a good player. Between him and Dixon, I know who I am taking all day long. Same with Gilks. I am prepared to eat my words this season. Wigan have taken Ben Amos on a 2 year deal, if that softens your...

On my second icecream of the day here! It’s all the weathers fault! 16c on the drive home from work between Bolton and Bury! 31 degrees on the KS 1 playground at kids school today according to my mate Steve who works there as a TA! It’s grim up north  It’s always grim up north Tbf, but that i...

Re: Today I'm neither Angry nor Happy about....

Listened is the word. I was sat having a modish cigarette on a Parisian bench when a pigeon got run over about 5 yards away from me. I can still hear it :vomit: Good on you for trying. I'm afraid I'm on something of a bird/car interface roll at the minute. Coming back from my mum's a couple of week...

Looks beautiful AT. I’d love to visit the Scottish islands some day. I imagine it’s just like Balamory! (What’s the story?) That's Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. Trust me, that's the only part of the entire Hebridean archipelago that looks like that. ;) Didn’t have you down as a Balamory fan Bruce!...

Much of the time the rest of the world seems, well, a world away. I've never worked so hard in all my life by a long stretch, but I only have to look outside for it all to be worth it :D

I've never watched it so couldn't say! If you want a taste of it the go on the BBC iplayer, go to the Alba channel and find an t Eilean. It's a series about where I live from just before I arrived. Most of the people on it are my customers. It's mainly in gaelic with subtitles but easy to watch. Muc...

There has been an algae bloom along the coastline by my house. Very weird to see as the water looks sort of Caribbean. Photo below doesn't do it justice, but here you go anyway :) https://scontent.flhr4-4.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.6435-9/197133117_10226831197308527_5861821161740932961_n.jpg?_nc_cat=100&ccb...

Tough, no nonsense, able to pass 5 yards with a good degree of accuracy and able to head the ball will do for me. Oh, and faster than me on a good day (not difficult).

Re: What are you watching tonight?

Just finished the Danish version of The Killing. Quite enjoyed it, though the first season was 20 episodes 😳 I started that one, but I do tend to do other things at the same time as watching the box. So had the first 3 episodes on permanent rewind as I kept missing subtitled dialogue... I tend to d...

Sunak is just another Cameron. An acceptable nice enough bloke with not a whole lot going on behind. Seems good at Instagram, but I've seen nowt else to indicate he'd be a good PM. But if he's not a pathological liar its an improvement over what we have got....we're way beyond needing to find someo...

As with anything, any signing is an unknown in so much no one knows how it will turn out? Look at Baptiste when he re-signed. How many people thought that was a good idea? Equally with Maddison. How many thought what a tremendous signing? Truth is we won't know until it happens. You could be right,...
