Re: Time to batter the fish wives? Grimsby (A) - Sat 17th Apr 12:30 KO

From reading the tea leaves (both forums and twitter feeds fairly dead), nearest either side have come is when Crawley hit their own bar. Don't think they've managed a shot on target at the other end. In really important news from the forums, Cheltenham Hubert has had a slight cold so work's been a ...

I care not. I've decided, I support Crawley.

Re: Time to batter the fish wives? Grimsby (A) - Sat 17th Apr 12:30 KO

They brushed foreheads. It was hardly a full on Glasgow kiss. Still a red and a 3 match. Their forum actually seem fairly delighted Payne won't feature and don't seem to be that fussed about the Postman, either. Payne played more of the games than Morais in their unbeaten run (all draws bar one win)

Dulux. New Spurs sponsors

Great stuff from Dulux, to cheer GG up, new sponsors of Spurs. Started off ok with Dulux dog getting a tour of the New White Heart Lane...but as the social media thread developed, they were asked if the Dulux dog could play centre back and responded - he might do a better job. Then asked if they int...

Re: General Chit Chat

You're comparing kids dancing to a professional football club. Surely the main purpose of a professional sports team is to win as many as they can regardless of whether it's important in any grand scheme. Here's what the Bolton manager said about it a few months back. "What’s the point in being in a...

Re: Time to batter the fish wives? Grimsby (A) - Sat 17th Apr 12:30 KO

the founder of the Olympics, Baron Pierre de Coubertin, said "The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well. If you should be playing football against Grimsby, this does not apply. You must seek to win a...

Re: Time to batter the fish wives? Grimsby (A) - Sat 17th Apr 12:30 KO

I'd be gutted if we scored 8 at the Camp Nou, too. It would hardly register up there with the 1-0 defeat to Newport where we played some decent football. If it wasn't about results, I wouldn't be watching. Sorta the point of any sport is to try and win. by that rationale, mate, some on here would s...

Re: Time to batter the fish wives? Grimsby (A) - Sat 17th Apr 12:30 KO

If it’s not about results why not just pick whichever side has the best players and plays the most entertaining football at any single time and follow them? Why would you follow your home town club if you only care about how football is played? The best entertainment I’ve had as a Bolton fan was es...

Re: Remaining fixtures

Carlisle would be my tip. Can you imagine if we played them in the play-off final?! I still have absolutely no idea as to why these things are played at Wembley. Reminds me of the Tranmere game. Absolutely nobody was there for a day out. On this I disagree. For many clubs they might see a play off ...

Re: Time to batter the fish wives? Grimsby (A) - Sat 17th Apr 12:30 KO

Should Morcambe overhaul us in the run-in, I suspect they would just he delighted with how they've performed. We on the other hand would be somewhat looking nervously at some teams we haven't had shedloads of success against this year. 2 losses to Tranmere and Newport and one to FGR as it currently ...

Re: Time to batter the fish wives? Grimsby (A) - Sat 17th Apr 12:30 KO

I don't really have a list of easy and hard games left. Logic should dictate it'd be easier to beat Grimsby than Morcambe but as others have mentioned, they're going to be scrapping. It's probably more "must win" for them than us. I'm hoping we have enough guile and legs left after what was a hard ...

You can tell I'd been at the pub given you said it was against Derby
Oh, you coulda got away with it. Wasn't doubting that you hadn't spotted Derby! 😅 thought you were asking whether it was at home. Mind, I'd been in pub too, since 15:00, to test the wifi signal.

Re: Remaining fixtures

If you were a Tranmere fan you might feel like looking over your shoulder a bit nervously. Still to play Salford abs Bradford chasing play off spots and FGR who are clinging on for a play off spot. Then also Colchester and Barrow from the other end. Nothing simple there for them. Vaughan is apparen...
