Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
That's £4.5 Million pounds. Us getting £4.5m from the fans and Evatt being backed with £4.5m this season are not the same thing and I think you're well aware of that. I am, wonder which way the fans who dipped in might see it? We're told it all counts, add two home wins on for advertising hoardings...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
He has been backed. Considerably. He has also failed to deliver on the targets he went public with. I get it. However, through all his failings, until he isn't, he's our manager. And all those spineless bottlers are our players until they're moved on. We need to support them and get behind them, bu...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
Once more, leave the sense of entitlement will you please. We are NOT a big club. We are a once big club that almost was wiped out of the league and are trying to rebuild. I think some.fans need a big dose of a reality check. If some could get off their high horses about us having a divine right to...

Re: 2024, hoodwink and bamboozle the public
The minute you start using the word "clueless" you're talking about understanding and interpretation which some might call competence. I don't think you have to go anywhere near topics such as alzheimers, to suggest that if "having a clue" is the criteria then you need to measure it. It's another si...

Re: 2024, hoodwink and bamboozle the public
Someone please tell me what a old fogie has a clue about what is going on in the world with real issues other than what The Daily Mail tells them? Just as legitimate a gripe. Beg to differ fella. You like a lot of a certain type seem to peddle the 'believe what you read in the mail types' myth. Per...

Guardiola takes the blame. https://x.com/cityreport_/status/1794421901860675621?s=46&t=hHZd1wXFVO1bo4TppbHkNQ's on you It's not the system. Correct. It's having some sorta fcking answer, when that sneaky other team (there's often one of them, just in case anyone missed it) and that's on you Mr Mana...

Re: 2024, hoodwink and bamboozle the public
Hm. Well, just cast your minds back to when you were 16 years old. Me, I wasn't making too much sense back then. I'm almost 85 now and still don't have an answer; at 16 I thought those you voted for were supposed to be able to provide it. Took me quite a while to, realise it was all a Punch and Jud...

Re: 2024, hoodwink and bamboozle the public
Oh, I forgot...: Starmer thinks sixteen year olds are the answer to our problems...Well, I suppose that's one way to get your voting numbers up....Cor,,, If you can be working at 16 (I was 17 coz I didn't go to Uni until later). You're paying taxes. You pay tax, you should be entitled to sa...

Re: 2024, hoodwink and bamboozle the public
It'll probably get worse. Time is the enemy. Everything we built in our era is either falling down or in need of expensive maintenance and the very thought of it has the investors running to get their money out; that's why so many M and S and co etc type shops are empty. Bolton is a shining example...

Re: 2024, hoodwink and bamboozle the public
I suspect TD, the larger reason shops are closing is because they're not competitve vs lower cost internet clothes. I mean, some of the internet stores close, because they can't remain competitive so what chance when you have rent, rates, utilities etc?

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
I think most of us would have got pretty close on the "released" list. In about January! (JDB's extension terms notwithstanding, he was only the second most talked about three letter acronym beginning with "J" for the most part)

Re: Our formation
That shows in microcosm, Sheehan's disappearance. Every time (in the clip). Their 9 has done a very good job, but Sheehan looking to adapt to it doesn't really happen. Edit: It would also be a brave man, to suggest Santos should have been doing "something brave" with it as Evatt said in post-match,...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
Yeah agree mate - that quote applies to pretty much any sport. Lost of non-believers might view cricket at batting and bowling, but it's often won or lost by single moments fielding. I think what some of us slightly more critical posters were saying, was, for example in the case of Reading, for exam...

Re: 2024, hoodwink and bamboozle the public
Here we go, ruin early summer (if it ever gets started) Sod the election bring on the revolution. When we said people were getting hoodwinked and bamboozled, we were told that was a serious underestimation about their intelligence and how could we possible dare to suggest they didn't know what they...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
Gotta say mate, (knowing it's a bit of a bugbear for you), I don't think there's a great message around a new pitch for most, no matter how well you spin it. :-) It's nothing to do with the pitch. It's simply that there's a need for a sign of commitment and you don't want it to look like a vote of ...
