Re: Who opened the door? My money is on Janus! 2024 January transfer thread.
Dan and Bod have bagged against (variously) teams nowhere near the capability of top end of L1. I'm delighted for both, as they're at least getting on the scoresheet. I don't see IE changing his "preferred" front 2 anytime soon, outside of injury, general red zone or maybe the odd game situationally...

I think the plan for Jerome to go "backroom" was previously articulated, but he hasn't really been in the equation recently anyhow...
Dion looks pretty safe.
So you're still only left with Vic, Bod and Dan if you need to unload one...

Re: Who opened the door? My money is on Janus! 2024 January transfer thread.
I think some of the "gaps" which haven't manifested since summer, are still there. Cover for JDC, Randy as out and out WB's. Probably someone up-front. (The thing about "up-front" for League goals, we have Dion chugging along happily on 11, Vic on 6 - next is Oggys, Iredale and Maghoma on 3, Morley,...

Re: Club Record
Ooh good shout. I'll chuck in our 2nd at Wembley. Yeah, I was thinking our first - on the basis the question is "favourite" not "best." But going 1-0 up in a Wembley final, early doors and setting the tone - you sorta looked and said "that's us, that is..." with maybe just the hint of a little "tin...

Re: General Chit Chat
Now I'm feeling old. Sending some mail. Got stamps with barcode on, wondered what barcode was for. Looked it up. It started out explaining what a "stamp" was and does....which got me thinking there must be a shitload of people never used one! I'm going to listen to some old tape recordings whilst I ...

Re: Stoking the fires. Home to Port Vale defending our trophy...Tues, 5th Dec 7-45.
I'd play pretty much same line up as Saturday, give 'em some more game time, with a likely sterner test, other than the stats suggest they need a rest...

We'll shit 'em. TBH whilst it's not a bad draw to give us a football test, I'd have preferred any Club with over 50,000 capacity, just for the dosh. So overall, don't like it.

Shame, the thought of freezing nads at 2nd Rd FA Cup match is not a very appealing one, right now!

Yeah - can see the logic there. But then there's a few who don't get a rest - Jones, Toal, Williams, Thomason - of those, hopefully Williams is "rested" and just needs some running back in his legs, so maybe not critical, I'd like to get Thomo a rest in one of them and a bit of "wait and see" for To...

Are there "rules" around FA Cup and strength of team? I'm not sure they're as "specific" as the EFL Trophy....I too, would be inclined to give some game time out - not specifically "weaken" by playing the under 10's, but we have some players who need some pitch time. I suspect IE will still want to ...

Well! With the naming of the names it looks like Scoobie doo, Whinge & Cringe are going to go down like the Titanic. We should hold the Royal family up as testament to our multiculturalism, coming across here as immigrant families from minor houses in Germany and we hold them dear to our hearts. Th...
