Could well be. If Davis and the rest of the Burnley cronies go with Coyle that is.Ianmooreslovechild wrote:You jest I know but there's every chance KD will be in charge for a few games this season if coyle cracks or if the board push and their replacement falls through.50sQuiff wrote:Zat Knight player manager. Re: 'Ull V Bolton
Coyle has got promotion. FFS this is futile. Again. Mick F*cking McCarthy. I despair. I think the post-match interviews might get even more depressing under Mick. It goes to show how costly not getting rid last Christmas really was. At that point we might still have been able to bring in a decent r...

Re: 'Ull V Bolton
Will be interesting to see what those who got there have to say. Didnt sound like mavis had any impact inspite of being in his ideal role.Defensively we sound pretty shocking. Not so much from people strolling through the middle today but just completely incapable of dealing with crosses. Got to wo...

Jay will please both the footballing connoisseurs and those that love constantly harassing the opposition/100% effort players. Those who only like players with a nice haircut and stepovers and then give MOM to whoever scored , they wont get him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zb28vEkqNLs&feature=au...

Re: Spearing £3Mil
Had a chat with my Scouse-supporting neighbour this morning. He reckons Spearing is no Gerard and co, but a solid enough, decent player who should improve us. Gets stuck in (a phrase already adopted) and can use the ball well enough. Thinks it's a good move and a positive one. My neighbour's a sens...

Re: Is anybody not convinced yet
Isn't there meant to be coaching in between games? I'm convinced there is no game plan, no studying of the opposition, no tactics just a 'go out and express yourself' mentality. The team needs coaching. Start with pass the ball then move. Massive gaps all over the pitch. Always look like conceding ...

Re: Crawley Town / Wanderers Match Thread
Come on guys, it was just a bit of misfortune. He brought on a striker to kill the game off, wise move in my opinion. Who brings on a striker to kill of a game? Shaft..... What's the big deal.A preseason reserve team outing,it's all about fitness at this point anyway. One less distraction in a long ...

Re: Is anybody not convinced yet
did we have another midfielder to put on? was M. Davies visibly tiring? Vela went off injured early doors, am i right? Was the ball coming staright back at us and it looked like Sordell needed some help holding it up? were we comfortable playing 4-5-1? how were individuals playing at the time of th...

Re: Is anybody not convinced yet
The famous rebuilding project continues with a one-man wrecking ball at the helm.
Maybe if we all hope, pray and be positive we'll generate enough good vibes that Stuey and Mooey will be fit to play 4-4-2 against Hull. That is the only chance we have of making these tactics work.

Re: Season expectations
I'm already tired of reading "they're a decent side" and "they'll be there or thereabouts" about our opponents this season. Burnley, Derby and Forest will probably NOT be there or thereabouts yet they've dominated for long periods and, if we're honest, could easily have beaten us in each case. Even ...

Lee will look better when cockend stops sticking him on the left wing and gets somebody who can win the ball and give it to him He's made for the right of a front 3 Absolutely.... Re: Jaffka's gossip thread on the ins and outs at the 'Bok
10M is all well and good. But based on Coyles spending so far, it would be completely wasted. I don't trust him to buy, and then get the best out of what he's bought. I thought you wanted us to take the cash for M Davies? I would. Because Mark Davies isn't anywhere near as good as the 6M Swansea ap...

Re: SKD - An apology
Yep, fair play to Davo. He's done well for us so far. Both goals against Forest were classic Davies.
This style of play isn't going to get us promoted though.

Re: Bolton v Forest thread
on a positive I thought Keith Andrews was our best player today, he isn't your flash 50 yard passers but he's a player who'll break up the player and put himself about and give 100% You really think he had any influence on the game? He was as culpable as Mavies for our defensive midfield frailties....

Re: Bolton v Forest thread
Afobe's link-up play has been inferior to Sordell's. Why take Marv off when he's just got off the mark? You a rarely see that happen. The really worrying thing is Forest have actually looked more likely to win this. Mark Davies is a diminutive attacking player being told to play a deep role in a fla...

Re: Bolton v Forest thread
Matt Mills makes David Wheater look like Franz Beckenbauer in his New York Cosmos days. What a clogger! I'd forgotten just how poor defenders can be outside the top flight.
