Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Whilst the chase first test was excellent one feels making that our mode of ‘winning’ is risky.

This test is showing why batting first can be very advantageous.

England had a little bit of poor luck first session but once a team has 450 plus on the board likelihood is you are in trouble.

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

For any fans of reading too much into social media content, there has been no sign of Lolos in any of the training videos posted by the club thus far... Heh. Yet strangely I'm sure I saw a Southwood. (I think it was him. I'm finding it harder to tell the young folk apart these days.) There's a rumo...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

If we do manage to land Ceesay, N'Mai and Kenny, it seems the combined cost could be around the £2m mark. About half of that is covered by the fee for Collins and two or three other sales would cover most of the balance. So, I guess an overhaul that brings in eight new players and is close to cost ...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Which of our centre mids is getting sold then? I suspect that its Sheehan, My suspicion is that it might be Thomason. I like the lad but with the players we have signed, I cannot see a place for him. He is always a player who asks for the ball and tries 100% every game but he did not have a great s...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Thanks, BWFCI & Bertie. I understand, that we might be getting a decent player at a knockdown price. But, given we have limited finances, it feels like a lot to spend on a lad who's played 50 games over three seasons for a mid-table Swedish side and who'll be available on a free come the January wi...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Per this bod (reporter at major newspaper, 68k followers), fee agreed. Just personal terms with that lovely agent. Screenshot 2025-07-01 at 21.50.56.png Iles suggesting the fee is £350k to buy him out of the last six months of his contract. That seems like a lot to me. Depends what he is valued at....

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

What would the work permit situation be anyway? I think this is an unlikely deal tbh. Sounds like fanciful reporting especially since we are committed to in person scouting, this guy hasn’t played much and feels like he’d be a random data pick if anything. Doubt we have had time to really look at t...

Ironic we get a Scandi-rando link on the weekend Ludonautics bite the dust.
Yeah something about it doesn’t scan right to me. Was he maybe a legacy target and they are using that history to try and draw out other suitors?

Can see this happening if we push Sheehan up to 10, and listen to offers for one of the others. Not exactly a priority position though.
Well Iles seems to be suggesting the Swedish mon can play left back which then ties a lot up. A big hulking left back who can fill in at DM seems quite logical.

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Nixon saying that Celtic want a million for Kenny. So think that is going to rule us out. I want lots of things, big step up from want and get. Sure but Celtic aren’t a league one club who will be thinking if they don’t sell they might lose out and cost them a years revenue. So I suspect it will be...

Nixon saying that Celtic want a million for Kenny. So think that is going to rule us out. I'm not sure that it does, the club has the Collins money to spend as well as whatever budget SS has been given. For me the question is around is he worth £1M as I have never heard of the lad. I've got a feeli...

Just come home in an ambulance after a week in dock due to a clumsy fall. Awful time as Bolton hospital don't heed temperature control and every night was like trying to sleep in a greenhouse. I don't seem to have missed much re team change etc, but I ain't going back in there ever. After discharge...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Why would you employ a - presumably - reasonably remunerated consultancy and not ask the question around where to deploy the resources. That's perfectly normal with the proviso that you're still on the hook for determining how you use that advice. I doubt Ludonautics were saying, "Ian, you're going...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Consultancies exist in most business fields - as external profit making agencies - whether their value to us/you is worth much is subjective. They had B3 Shares with no voting rights. When we bought back Hart's B Shares and Markham's, they were £10 and £16. On the data side - you don't get to pick ...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Nixon reporting BW have “split with” Ludonautics. Oh well. Thank god. Didn’t want them having anything to do with us. Any major reason, mate? I'm if favour of us using credilble analytics, just not them being "instead of," proper scouting, but "supplemental to." I'm not sure I know enough about wha...
