Re: The Nostradamus file....

I do wonder however how much the timing of games impacts the opposition. Derby play Wednesday and Saturday, which means that they could be feeling further ahead than they actually are should they win on Wednesday. Points in the bag vs games in hand, innit. It all levels up a week tomorrow when we h...

We have a chance, but, realistically, will require 4 wins, including Pompey & Posh. That's a tough ask.

Professional performance today, get the job done three points in the bag and move on. The importance of next week cannot be underestimated, win and I truly fancy us to grab second place. If we do end up in the play offs , looking at the other teams, I fear no one and would be confident of promotion...

Is Collins the real deal? I must admit, I was completely oblivious to him before he signed. But, he seems to have settled and is now knocking 'em in.

2-0 now. We drop to 4th on GD if they win their other game in hand. Fortunately, we're going to shit 'em on the final day.

Don’t forget Wycombe beat Peterborough 5-2 on sat and we’ve just restricted them to a 97th brain fart penalty…(ok I didn’t see the first half)
Todays game.

Blimey! We should have lost 7-3!

Re: A Load of Cobblers. Away to Northampton Sat, 10th Feb.3-0'clock.

Funny old season for a funny old club. Ever since joining the newly-incorporated Third Division (South) in 1920 they've pretty much always been lower-league stalwarts - barring a notable, remarkable and literally execeptional 1960s dash from the Fourth Division to the First (three promotions in fiv...

Urgh, are we gonna get a repeat of that rain soaked night vs Port Vale (IIRC)?

COYWM
Plymouth. I was there for that. And I'm in a pub in Cambridge now. Sorry, I guess.

April it is - and personally I reckon I might make that. Shirt-sleeved promotion celebration? Yes, a trip I can see myself making too, all being well. As it's become nigh on impossible to get an away ticket, I'd contemplated going tonight, but decided I'd be cutting it too fine to get the last trai...

Re: There's a Moose loose about these U's, Cambridge United Away 6th Feb 2024

Both sides are free in a fortnight. Next midweeks we have free are Tue 19 and Tue 26 March, but that's either side of the international weekend - which itself will almost certainly cause another postponement for the Shrewsbury home game scheduled Sat 23 March. There are also three midweeks free in ...

I never like to see us lose, but not too bothered about this. We don't need the extra game(s) and, even if we made the final, it would never match last season's game, which was pretty much the perfect football day out.

Here's to hoping that Wrexham do the business tonight because if the Dingles are knocked out then Ennis MAY just push harder to get away to us on loan.
….although it may give Wrexham more money and reinvigorate their interest in Collins?

Ennis was an unused sub in a 4-1 win.
