Re: "It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves" Bolton vs Posh 30th April
I enjoyed today ... a lot. The calmer I've ever been for any of our, all too frequent, 'decider' matches. I was never nervous and the performance justified that. There are some good players in that squad and Parkinson knows how to find them on the cheap as he's proven many times now. It's a higher l...

Re: Bobo and thebish
Bobo's fine, thank you very much. Just got a bit pissed-off at being described as no better than a rapist because I'm "right of centre" and decided to take a break ... plus we were on a winning streak so a case of "lucky under-wackers" came in, as I didn't want to jinx it. I guess I lost the habit. ...

I don't enjoy being called at rapist because I don't vote your way, that's the point. Nothing faux about it.thebish wrote:LOL at your faux-outrage! Untwix your snickers!

Re: The Politics Thread
^^ & YOU ought not describe someone who happens to be Tory as "rapey". Poor imagery. Very poor indeed. I didn't - that was BWFCi - he said the May's Tories would "rape and pillage" the country... then said he'd pick May with his magic PM-picking powers... merely repeating back to him his own langua...

Re: The Politics Thread
When Blair was elected, the more left wing members of the party had to put aside some of their choices for the greater good. No new council house building, crackdown on welfare, pfi in the NHS etc. Now they have a left leaning leader, can't the centre ground of the party put aside some of their's? ...

Re: The Politics Thread
It's not like Smith was a hitter, let alone a big hitter. Then he created a stance hat was almost more left than that of Corbyn ... just presented in a suit & tie. It was an awful option. The middle ground is effectively disenfranchised. The new Nu-Labour activists are vile and it's not going to be ...

Apparently a great deal of unrest that the Stewards (Stadium, rather than WHU employees) are insisting people sit during play.

Re: Bantams @ home. 24/09/16. 15:00
Hats off to Bradford for their away following yesterday. In my lifetime they've pretty much always been a division 3 or 4 team save for a handful of seasons in division two and 2 seasons in the prem. To bring over 4000 over and for the home crowds they get, that's damn impressive Correct. Though, t...

Re: Bantams @ home. 24/09/16. 15:00
It was a turgid match. Vela tried. Trotter may as well have not been there. Spearing showed bits of quality but did little with it. I liked Ameobi ... but HOW one footed is he. Reminded me of Paolo Wanchop in that he has skill , desire and sets out with positive intent. He has NO idea what's going t...

Yes. Completely. If only that it's there ... & impossible to miss. That she did miss it suggests she didn't look properly as she went in determined not to find it. Well that's where we differ. After a tremendous start to our season it went badly awry. Thankfully we've scraped our way out of it.
