Re: Wanderers Legend of our lifetime

So I'm back with a run down of the results and at the end of this post is a link to a second survey to produce an overall winner. 99 people voted in the poll so this should represent a decent cross section of BWFC fans. 1970s was a cake walk for Frank Worthington as he bagged 72.2% of vote - the lar...

He's getting votes and is currently leading the 80s section :conf: But I only really started watching football in the 90s so I didn't vote in that section.

Re: Wanderers Legend of our lifetime

Was only a nipper myself in the 80s and I must admit that when doing my research trying to fill the spots for the 80s was more difficult. No doubt who ever wins that decade will get trounced in the final. Although Peter Reid did date my aunt for a bit - so I'm told every time I'm back in Bolton. So ...

Wanderers Legend of our lifetime

Any chance you guys could help me out with a little research. It is in no doubt that Nat Lofthouse is THE Bolton Legend. But I never got to see him play. So I am trying to find the Bolton Legend of our lifetime and to do so I have made a quick poll. I have split the poll into decades and will do a f...

Mavies has withdrawn from the squad. Thank christ.

Other two should follow suit. Our need is greater than there's.

The # sign is really useful as it makes the topic instantly searchable. See a tweet with #megsonisacunt in it, click on the word and every tweet with #megsonisacunt will be displayed in list.

Re: Twitter Whites

I know I'm biting and I really shouldn't. But its not necessarily about news but interaction. I don't know a single BWFC within 200km of me, so sometimes its nice to get instant reaction to stuff. Just like being on a forum like this.

Re: Twitter Whites

Ye can mock twitter all you want but its a very handy resource when you don't live in Bolton anymore for getting all the news.

Oh and I forgot http://www.twitter.com/SpewsAt10" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is also a good BWFC tweeter.

Re: FACup Quarter Final

Still can't quite believe it. Just keep going over the match in my head. Phillips' one against the post. Chunggy's block off the line. And I totally thought Jussi was gonna get sent off for his challenge on Jerome before I saw the replay. In previous years all of those would have gone against us. Bu...

Re: Steve Bruce

What an incedibly bitter thread. It's to be expected though - I think come February when Bolton are about 15th we'll all look back on yesterday as the day the little flash in the pan got found out. Bolton were the same bunch of cloggers yesterday that they've always been. If I were you I'd be worri...

Good luck to Match Of The Day picking half an hour of highlights out of that with only 2 games on. How many angles do you think they captured Gordon's save from?

Re: The Greatest Thing That We Posess

My brother and I have been saying "we'll be telling our Grandchildren about this" for the past 8 years or so of Wanderers football - I'm not sure how much more we can take. Cup finals? european nights? top 8 finishes? Pah, bring back playoff semi disappointments to Ipswich I say
