Re: Manchester Arena

Well, ok, it'd be difficult to be as much of a f*ckwit as Boris, and yes, one of the most important geopolitical documents of the 20th century wasn't quite the whopper of the current Tory party giving anything to anybody, especially the NHS, but it's probably in the same chapter. Or at least same bo...

Re: Manchester Arena

Imagine last century's f*ckwit Boris and his £350m bus. Only even more catastrophic.

Re: Manchester Arena

Yeah, but to be fair, theres the whole mix up of paying off one group to fight another, and arming the lot. There was a fantastic documentary on BBC2 about a year ago (so just me watching, then) that could be summed up as 'we're next'. Explained the causal roots of suicide bombing, and how 'Jihadism...

Re: The Politics Thread

And whilst we're at it, which f*cking rock has Liam Fox been hiding under since he got one of the most important jobs in British politics?

Re: Manchester Arena

Are you suggesting our foreign policy is entirely without blemish? I mean, and I realise this makes me some kind of sympathiser to the simpletons out there, but the IRA weren't bombing us because we just happened to be the closest island with a B in it's name. Whether you agree with their stated aim...

Re: Manchester Arena

Clearly, making an explosive device and then strapping it to you with the intent of killing yourself and others is not generally the actions of a sound and reasonable mind, but I just wondered whether it was more politically motivated - regarding the situation in his home country of Libya. I mean, P...

Re: Manchester Arena

Just out of interest, genuine question, I don't know, did the guy leave a suicide note or make any claim that it was on behalf of Islam at all?

Re: The Politics Thread

Strong and stable, stable and stong. Strongly stable, stabley strong.

Did I mention strength? Or stability? Lets move forward strengthening our stableness in a sustainably, yet strong, new stability.

I'd love it to be a joke, but people lap this shit up.

Re: The Politics Thread

Is that predicted or actual right now? I'd have thought that Labour would most closely associate with SNP supporters as a potential target. It's a bit like UKIP dictating to the Tories because they've stolen their support, rather than them contesting to get it back. Oh, hang on, I see what you did t...

Re: The Politics Thread

I realise that's the Tories bogeyman-under-the-bed threat, but it's groundless. Labour and SNP have far more to contest, given the Tories lack of any meaningful support north of the border. You're not going in to coalition with your main opposition, particularly one who has recently destroyed a whol...

Re: The Politics Thread

May scares the shit out of me. She looks like she hasn't a f*cking clue as to what's going on. She reminds me of a couple of bosses I've worked for - they were useless and totally out of their depth too. The only hope we have right now for some kind of sanity is for a hung Parliament.

However supporters of so-called Islamic State have been cheering the incidents on social media, BBC Monitoring reports." Is this on the BBC we...

Re: The Politics Thread

Is anyone still debating their mentalism?

I know there'll be a few fanatics out there, but surely this election has shown them to be the B grade clowns that we all suspected they were?

Re: The Politics Thread

I'm just pointing out that, whilst they've not been highly accurate (did anyone think they were anyway?), many have been within the reasonable bounds they set for themselves.

Remember, in FPTP, percentage of votes doesn't easily equate to number of seats.

Again, you say 'even Kinnock', but Kinnock was the moderniser of the Modern Labour party. Let's be clear, without Kinnock there would have been no Blair.

Re: The Politics Thread

Productivity is based on outputs not inputs.

Why would we all need to work more hours on a four day week? It's archaic thinking like that that's holding us back.
