Agreed on Charles - am hoping what we saw Tuesday was a reflection of him not being sharp, and the way to sort that is a start on Saturday.

Few picked Pompey as contenders but I’m guessing had hoped we would push them harder. That’s what is the most disappointing thing… we had the squad to push but our only consistency is our inconsistency…

He’s actually been fit for longer this season than others I think. But it’s what, 3 league goals? Was a mistake last summer, let alone next.

See my fear with Oxford is we would assume we would coast the home leg, and that usually spells trouble.

Fundamentally we are finishing third or fourth and really should beat anyone we play. Blackpool wouldn’t want to play, given our record of bottling local derbies.

I always go back to what Ghost said. ‘If Plan A isn’t working, Plan B is to do Plan A better’ or similar… if Ghost had come out as Ian Evatt at that point I would not have been surprised!

I would genuinely be surprised if he wasn’t here regardless of what happens in the play offs. I’m far from confident. Perhaps a collapse would lead to a mutual consent type situation. I would expect some pressure if we didn’t start next season well. And I keep saying it but the league will be strong...
