Re: New broom in a new town MK Dons(a) 4th Feb 2017
I can't see Parky ringing the changes for an away game, especially given the minimal changes during our current poor run of from.
Like Insane, I see him sticking to the same system with Long or Clayton coming in.
Over time I expect us to go to a more 4-1-2-1-2 formation to accommodate ALF.

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?
I suppose it's symptomatic of the current game but it still shocks me when I hear of directors, owners whatever, identifying which players they want for the new season. Leave that to the bloody manager. I can't imagine Rioch working like that. Much of our current financial problems are as a result ...

Re: will it end in tiers
So when the decision is made to close one/more of the upper tiers (which is quite clearly coming) what happens to the 1,000+ or so who have already renewed? Logistically it will be an absolute nightmare; - Are we automatically allocated a seat? - Do we get to pick one? - How do 1,000+ people claim s...

Re: will it end in tiers
I don't mind them closing the upper tiers, but would rather have known prior to renewing my season ticket. That way I could have picked where I am sitting in a reasonable fashion without messing about with another 1,000 or so who have also renewed all competing for the same spots at the same time.

Re: Lennon out!
If Madine ever pulls on a Bolton shirt again, IMO it will be the darkest moment, recently, in the whole sorry affair the club was in. Anyone know the actual truth of what's gone on with Madine?? Can we cancel his contract? Only rumour - LoVS claim that someone contacted them at the weekend saying t...

Re: Sacrifice
I'd get rid of anyone we can unload from the wage bill. To have a sustainable future that wage bill needs to be completely stripped down, it's extremely unlikely that we will stay up, so flog anyone and accept relegation. Hopefully, takeover/administration/etc is all sorted by the summer which means...

Re: The Debt.
I think it might be worthwhile considering that Eddie Davies has employed three hundred plus people for a decade or thereabouts. Once he'd decided to sell it is reasonable that he had a deadline when he'd stop injecting cash in. The fact the club is badly run probably has quite a lot to do with how...

Re: BW Supporters Trust
Hmmmmmm, mixed feelings about the whole thing. Thought the chaps from Portsmouth came across well and showed what can be done with a unified group. That being said, our current circumstances are probably closest to the first time we went into administration. When they took over the club they had 2 c...

Re: The Debt.
In the simplest possible terms, selling things off now doesn't make a difference to administration. Like you've mentioned previously, what we're doing now is an attempt to keep the club going long enough to allow a buyer to come in whilst trying to maintain some sort of continuity. If the takeover ...

Re: The Debt.
Come back to my question. We have sold off assets to help pay wages for our players. For a month. With PFA assistance. Offices sold and hotel leased according to Iles. But apparently we still need to sell players in January to cover other costs. So what pays the wage bill in January and February? W...

Re: The Debt.
As Lostock is a Category One academy we must spend £2.5m per year on it so I'm going to assume everything needed for the first team to be there as well? If possible it's surely worth considering that they can merge two sites into one considering the cost savings We downgraded it to a Category Two t...

Strange team, are we looking at Clough in a 3 man midfield, or Feeney on the right and Vela in midfield?

Re: The Debt.
We've definitely been trying to offload Medo since Lennon got here, I suspect Spearing too. No one wants them/is willing to pay their wages. I suspect the same would be true of the likes of Wheater and Pratley plus others like Danns, Feaney, Pisano, Moxey, etc. Mark Davies might be the exception, b...

Re: The Debt.
Amos is supposedly on big wages. I imagine the club accountants dream of a squad of players on the money Vela and Clough get. We just need another 9 of them! This. We had a situation this summer were our squad size and wage bill was at a level which was more sustainable. Unfortunately someone signe...
