Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

What a ridiculous way for another incredible test to end.

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Think we're short here but not by anywhere near are much as the commentary team who thought you'd need 280-300. India big favourites but it won't be easy to get them. Not a pitch where anyone has scored quickly and it's got demons in it now. Big innings for Bashir coming up.

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Question marks over Crawley and Pope for sure. Surely Bethell has to get a go in the series.

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

They just need to be good enough in one series on fast wickets to attain immortality. You probably don't forget Jofra getting the Aussies jumping at home. :-) Didn’t win it though did we? Nor did he take many wickets iirc. I wanted to come back to this one, but thought I better check first. He took...

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

A lot of that comes down to are they fit though. Archer was unplayable that summer. And if fit he can run in off no run up and be lighting. Headingly test everyone remembers Stokes batting but he bowled 19 (?) overs straight the night before to knock them over. Wood is quick and skiddy.. But you're...

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Strongly disagree anyway. If they're all fit it's a very good (seam) attack.

But it's no use because they're never fit. And I'm yet to be convinced on spin!

It's all pointless until both sides have batted on it.

Re: Pre-season 2025

I would be astonished if that was the case. New staff will absolutely have come with their own programme. Seems pretty clear we've previously recruited people who are made of glass, so Forester is no surprise. Dalby more likely just one of those things. Certainly not enough evidence yet to suggest i...

Re: Pre-season 2025

Dalby has never had a hamstring injury in his career, a couple of days into pre season with us and bang. I know it can happen anytime, but questions need to be asked about the BWFC training methods and intensity for 2 x players to get hamstring injuries a couple of days into pre season - surely the...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

As young lads who've been out on loan he's done as well as you can but it's another step. What if he's shite? Johnstone at LB until Jan. Write another year off. I hope we're planning for a "he could make it" make room. But obviously we're going to sign someone else who can actually play in what rema...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

I really hope Conway gets a chance and he has done about as well as he can. But there's also no way we're going into the season with our only specialist a still unproven if promising kid.

We basically want Jack Iredale. Primarily a LB but versatile. Good egg. Can push Max but not smother him.

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

He was by far the tallest dwarf in the end of season shit show and looked to really suit the shape. But equally I think his ceiling is top end L1/lower champo so if it's a good offer then I'm fine with it.

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

In fairness, if they weren't them, India declare two hours earlier. Now they have to prove their full test match stones. Basically no-one out til the next new ball. Probably lose, but it's different..

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Tend to think you're right here, but it didn't stop Vincent Candela or Denis Irwin. Or more recently Tino Livramento or João Cancelo.
