Re: Re: Twixt Cups and Lips. Home to Shrewbury Town, Tuesday Apr 16th 7-45.

The other thing I wondered in the last 20 on sat where we had a go but didn't throw the kitchen sink was whether "do not lose" was a big message. One Derby draw now puts it in our hands again. If we'd lost we'd have needed them to lose too (or a biggish GD shift).

Re: Re: Twixt Cups and Lips. Home to Shrewbury Town, Tuesday Apr 16th 7-45.

Got to win the next two by hook or by crook to take it to the last day. Worth noting that if we do that, Peterborough would need to win all three of their games up to that point to still have a shout of going up automatically (they aren't the hardest games but all back to back). One draw in that and...

Re: Tonight's Football

We've all seen how bad refereeing in L1 is this season, but I wouldn't be too hopeful it'll get better if we go up.

West Brom's "penalty" against Rotherham tonight...

League One officials are dreadful.

Don't know how that ball went out of play but here we are.

I take it a draw isn't good enough? Not that there is a chance of that on this showing.
Would prefer a loss but a draw is fine. Anything but a derby win puts it back "in our hands"

If it's playoffs, looks like a home second leg. And posh are the only team I'd worry about at Wembley given how nuts they are, beyond a "chance is a big thing and anytime can beat anyone sense".

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

I think we'll go up if we win all our games (well, we definitely will of we win all our games, but probably if we win all the regular season ones). Pressure does funny things and Derby aren't very good. They got lucky with the weather at Fratton Park. Big test, Pompey at home, if we can't get that d...

Conditions are tough. Think we've been ok. But typical away have an the ball, huff and puff, not create a lot but don't look wholly secure. Need to find a way.

Haven't heard a crowd sing "she fell over" in about 20 years. Don't let anyone tell you they're behind the times in the west country.

Ashworth and Ramsay dropped from the 18, Gethin presumably still not fit
So we can have two out and out centre backs on there. Bizzare!

I thought it was a mad run he made given he could've just waited in loads of space, and he nearly ended up past the front post. But he managed it!
