Re: A Barrow load of trouble. Barrow (A) League 2. 20/10/20 KO 7pm

Not watching but reading commentary.. I ask, why is a right footed Centre Back playing left back with our two left backs on the bench? Just to make sure Evatt's mate Baptiste get a game?

Evatt has lost the plot, lost the players and now lost the fans. Get rid of now. This is too much to bear.

Re: Oldham or fold em, but no full house in sight..

I somehow do not believe this "Training like Real Madrid" thing. Unless the people who make the video training clip turn up late and miss those Real Madrid highlights I see nothing like that. In fact, when I watched the Thursday clip I saw some players miscontrolling simple balls bouncing a yard off...

Re: Oldham or fold em, but no full house in sight..

I agree Ghost that we have a D4 squad. From the looks of things I Don't know if our Manager is capable of even getting us to mid table. A good manager could get us top 6 with this squad.

Re: Oldham or fold em, but no full house in sight..

Indeed Bertie. We dont win games on the training pitch, its what happens in the match. Darcy must be very poor on the training ground. He never gets pick. But we know the heart he has. Much more desire that what I see now every week. Match conditions are very different from the training ground. Nobo...

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

He looks like in a better team he’d be ok. Our only outlet at times. Only one who can win a header. But ultimately suffers from an inability to cross the ball. Which means unless he’s in behind he’s cutting back in and slowing the game down. That's where are right now. We have a few who look like t...

Re: Oldham or fold em, but no full house in sight..

We have been found out by all the teams. They will press us high because they know we don't have the ability to play the way the coach is coaching us to play. Press and we will lose the ball. If we dont lose it, we will play safe without any penetration as we have no #9 to hold the ball up as an out...

Re: Division Four, 2020-?

Salford sack Graham Alexander, 233 days after his last league defeat Paul Scholes in the caretaker coat, presumably until he realises the players aren't of the standard he's accustomed to and strops off again I guess reality is a bitter pill to swallow as we have found out recently. So much for thi...

Seems like Evatt is contemplating bringing in Baptiste. I suggest he leaves the winning side alone barring injuries. Hickman replacing Jones should be the only change.

Re: Up Against the Elements. A Match Springs to Life. Their No. 16 is Atomic. Harrogate Town (A) 03/10/20 15:00

Saw the replay. Statistics while being an indicator really don't tell the true story. We had less possession in this game when compared with the previous ones, but we were far more dangerous. The biggest thing for me was the aggression, Tempo and forward passing. No pitty patty slow passing sideway...

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

It's certainly a problem. We've got the volume but without the capability. I'm assuming the "defensive attributes" and "leadership stats" were still masked when we picked 'em. Are we sure the players are sub-standard (some might well be in the end) or is it possible that the coaching hasn't managed...

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

Anyway, another problem is that our midfielder are not tracking the runners from midfield leading to so many chances early on. So we have multiple problems.

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

Greenidge, Taft and Delaney seems somewhat unnecessary for left footed centre halves. I understand what you're saying but if you're playing a back three - as we machine-tooled the squad to do - then you'd want six, with three of them to be lefties. Taft is the established D4 player, Greenidge the M...

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

Isgrove looked totally gassed after 20 mins on the field. Probably another month before we see if he can make a difference or just another "cheap" signing. At least he had a few touches. All I can remember of the other fellow in his 30 mins was a free kick into the wall. Where are we finding these p...

Haven't been impressed with White. He seems no better than the other midfielders we have been playing. I don't rate Darcy the way others on here do, but at least he fights hard and not afraid to put in a shift. Not seeing that with the current set. They seem scared.

Re: What's the collective noun for a group of wheelchair bound detectives? Newport County at home. 26th Sep 2020 3.00pm

I was certainly not impressed by any of our midfield players. They seem to play at half pace throughout the game and not showing for the ball. When we get throws its like nobody wants the ball. When we lose it, nobody presses the passer who has all day to pick out his aggressive runners who reach ou...

He is on a steep learning curve. League 2 is a big step up from non league. We all want him to do well. Is he a good student or a rose tinted positive thinking preacher? He will be given time to learn but will he.

Re: What's the collective noun for a group of wheelchair bound detectives? Newport County at home. 26th Sep 2020 3.00pm

We look like a very weak side. Our best player to me is Doyle but nothing is coming up to him. Our midfield is weak, slow, predictable and easy to defend against. No penetrating passes, not picking up the runs of our forward players, focused on possession and not penetration. Are they playing to in...
