Re: aaron mooy

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets another crack, either in the Champs or Holland, Belgium etc. He's not on the path to superstardom, but making a bad choice in your late teens isn't the end.

Re: Kick off with a glass or two of claret!

Reasonable result. Hope we'll be a lot better next week though. Beckford had better start scoring because I get the impression he won't be offering much else. Ngog was totally off the pace. Midfield looked OK though and we look strong in defence. Like the look of Tierney. One game.....he's played o...

Goals are overrated.

Mooy had a good game, but meaningless Asia games are about all he can expect unless he gets another gig in Europe.

Cracking goal in a terrible game. This was a third-string team, not that it makes getting sliced open by China any better.

Also ex-Wanderers youth Scott Jamieson. Plus Aaron Mooy gives at least one kick in the nads.

Re: Dear God he is at it already

And it's time to give this old classic another run: Harry Redkanpp’s Lunch: I’ve got up this morning and her indoors has left a note saying she’s gone up the shops and I’d better have made the lunch by the time she gets back or else. She says she wants spaghetti bolognaise. Opened up the fridge. Jes...

Re: Western Sydney W@nderers

Finishes 2-0. Very impressive stuff from the Mariners, compact in defence and slick on the counter. Wanderers suffered from the absence of a few key players but have little to complain about. And the RBB, while creating an amazing atmosphere didn't get to celebrate a goal in the Cove so all is well.

Already sold out.

Backing the Mariners because the other lot will be insufferable if they get the Double on their debut season.

Re: Western Sydney W@nderers

Having finished top of the 'Ladder' it's one of those quirky leagues where you then have to win the knock out bit too. Aus sporting tradition. Also when your ladder has fluctuated between 8-11 teams and you don't have pro-rel or any cup competitions there needs to be a bit more to play for.

Re: aaron mooy

Just noticed Mooy has made 2 appearences for the Aussie national team and scored twice, is he on his way back to the top? On the strength of two goals against mighty Guam and Chinese Taipei (aka Taiwan, it's complicated) in the qualifiers for the highly prestigious and not at all a waste of time EA...

Aus' football curriculum "mandates" this:

---------------------1-------------------
2------------3---------------4----------5
---------------------6--------------------
----------8-------------------10----------
7--------------------9------------------11

Re: aaron mooy

Nah, clubs struggle here because it's hard to win and keep crowds in a competitive sporting market, not because they're vehicles for swaggering frauds. Rangers situation reminds me more of what we had back before the restructure.
