I bought my match pass. Apparently the max def for the stream will be 720p which is disappointing. I'l probably watch it on my laptop instead of the TV. First world problems and all that.
Is the code I need on the email? The one from EFL Digital? Is it the purchase ID?

Re: Up for the cups in 20/21

All focus is on that much-discussed promotion target, but the best Wanderers managers - from Foweraker and Ridding through Armfield and Greaves to Rioch and Allardyce – have known the positivity that a cup run can engender. And with a strong, deep squad to pick from, Ian Evatt might relish the chan...

Re: Pre-Season Friendlies

From the info I've read, it could well be an ankle injury. Bad sprains or twists can cause the sort of debilitating pain referred to, in a best case scenario. An ankle break would be significantly worse, but would still be better than some of the other possibilities...

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

Hmmm :? A RB? We already have an RB in Brockers. I wonder if Evatt doesn't rate Brockers to adapt in to a wingback yet fancies Hickman capable of playing there? we shall have to wait and see I suppose. This does feel like Brockers will be going out on loan though :| There is no way on gods earth th...

Re: Summer 2020 transfers

After all these years of seeing his name crop up here n there, does this mean I now have to work out how it's pronounced? Another striker to add to the party - I've no idea how this group of players will turn out on the pitch, but I can't fault the way we've been going about our business. Dell-fon-...

SIGNING KLAXON Finally, confirmation we've recruited Matt Gilks as player and "will also serve as the club’s goalkeeper coach in Head Coach Ian Evatt’s backroom team." https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2020/august/wanderers-confirm-matt-gilks-appointment/ Gilks: I was fortunate enough to train here when ...

There's a challenge for you, DSB - have we ever had a Montserratian international play for us before??

Might also be worth pointing out that Adam Senior is a centre-back. IIRC.

Re: New Manager Thread

I don't understand why there are so many numpties, Nixon included, that are saying "just pay it". Standard business practice in a situation like this is to try and cut costs as much as possible. I'd be worried if FV WEREN'T trying to haggle on the price. And you can guarantee that there would be ple...

Re: New Manager Thread

I suspect I'm in a minority of one on this, but Barrow had a poor start to the season and were starting to flag before lockdown. In between, they had a great six months. So, Ian (the only under 40 year old Ian I've heard of 😁) just might not be the Messiah. But, I'll back him if he's our manager / ...

Re: What's going to happen?

Greetings from afar, Kenneth! Great to see the White shirts far afield from Bolton. The short answer is, we don't know. Lots of potential managers have been talked about, but a just-relegated club with relatively unknown owners surely isn't the best of situations for a manager to come into. Players ...

Re: New ownership - Football Ventures

I have to say chaps that it is very sad & quite embarrassing to be honest to be in League 4 (I remember the last time & although it was enjoyable socially as a much younger chap in 87/88, football wise it was shocking with regular crowds of only 3,000), however unfortunately it is what it is and we...

Re: Mark Davies

Game-changer on his day. The problem is that his days were too few and too far between, and his glass knees made them even rarer. He could only really play as the attacking midfielder in a midfield five, but even then on the defensive it was like playing with ten. Very frustrating player, but didn't...

The only fair option is postponement, surely. Shift the Euros to next summer, finish this season in June.

Re: Another fine mess Stanley (H) 29.2.2020 3pm KO

Do you seriously belief this ? or are you after a reaction. The reason that the chat on here is rather slow IMO is because everything regarding BWFC is fcuking depressing at the moment, sliding into League 2 for the 1st time since the 80's with a whimper, but the 'do gooders' think a 0-0 at home ag...

Re: The Keith Hill out thread

If you’re gonna pot him there’s no point rushing to replace him now when there might be better options in summer. That’s just storing up problems for next season. And it also makes the new guy’s record this season absolutely vital in the attitude to next season. What if the saviour loses more than ...

Re: You talk so much shit, Hill, you're twisting Mick's Mellon, man. Tranmere H 1/2/20

How come Matthews has started punching balls which look easier to catch? Anyone any idea? The fact that he's coming for the odd cross at all is enough of a change for me, rather than staying rooted to his line despite the ball passing two inches in front of his nose. I think modern keepers are told...

It was incredibly satisfying to hear opposition fans booing their own team for once, rather than us booing ours.
