Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

The speed with which we're getting these deals done is great, almost a full 11 now. Can't wait for the winger/s to come in. lineup (2).png Assuming that our newbies are actually decent, that's not looking too bad a line up. I worried that a Toal-Forino defensive partnership wouldn't be a promotion-...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

I think Thomason, unless we sign a couple of genuine top-quality midfielders, has to be one of the starters in that engine room. He can play along either Sheehan or Morley. I remain to be convinced that a Sheehan-Morley midfield has anywhere near enough bite - passing range for days, though.

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

I'd have Randell back. Being played as a wide attacker would suit him more than being stuck in at wing back. And it would add a bit of versatility - both wings, up and down the line.

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

I was surprised to see Mpanzu on loan at Rotherham when the Millers rocked up at ours a few weeks ago. Evidently got some stuff about him to have played so consistently at so many levels for Luton. Wouldn't turn him down. Amari'i Bell too. Tim Krul has experience by the bucket load. Worth a 1 season...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

No, nothing really shocking in there. Daughter will be a little disappointed that Bax has gone - she got a pair of keeper gloves for Christmas just gone, he'd signed one, Southwood had signed the other - but Luke was always her favourite keeper out of the two anyway! Suspect we'll hear a lot more ov...

Re: Division Three, 2024/25

Not sure if it's been mentioned elsewhere, but - for completeness - next season we are joined by Doncaster, Port Vale and Bradford from L2 and Luton, Plymouth and Cardiff from the Champo. L2 play off semis are Walsall v Chesterfield and Wimbledon v Notts C. Bradford were automatically promoted thro...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Thought about it for a while. I don't think there's many that could feel hard done by if they were potted this summer, but for what it's worth, my run down on the squad, divided into Keeps, Don't Renews, Transfer List and Listen to Offers: Baxter - wouldn't be averse to him staying, but would have t...

Gone for Thommo. Never fault him for effort, even when it doesn't come off.

Honorable mention for JDC.

Re: Green means go...Away to Lincoln , Mon 21st Apr. 3-0'clock.

Am currently reading Ian Graham's "How to Win the Premier League" which is interesting for two reasons, 1) on data analysis in football generally, and 2) given he heads Ludonautics who I think now have equity in the club, and who you'd imagine are involved in our data side. Cheers Pru - fascinating...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Should they stay or should they go? Here's my opinions... for today. (Two strong games may change my mind, as might two shit ones.) JUNE 2025 Nathan Baxter - RELEASE - I like him but something's broken (43 concessions in 26 league games) and we need a new voice. Joel Coleman - RELEASE - Thanks and ...

Re: Green means go...Away to Lincoln , Mon 21st Apr. 3-0'clock.

John McAtee, the summer's clutch signing, has shown the sum total of bugger all since he's come on. Again, he's hardly alone. His substitute partner, Klaidi Lolos (another whose versatility, we were told, would make a crucial difference in comparison to last season) has done similarly nothing. Kion...

Re: Green means go...Away to Lincoln , Mon 21st Apr. 3-0'clock.

Of the players currently on the pitch it’s a complete disaster if any of them are here next season imho . I’m going to say it now people are underestimating how bad they are and how much they have completely lost it. I realise we have lots under contract and it’s not likely but this is a complete r...

Re: Green means go...Away to Lincoln , Mon 21st Apr. 3-0'clock.

Of this current lot, I'd want to keep Tomo (seems like he cares, has an engine), JDC (seemingly indestructible and versatile, but he'd have to content himself with not being a guaranteed starter), Johnston (still only young for a defender) and Collins (has shown he can score even improbable goals, a...

Re: Green means go...Away to Lincoln , Mon 21st Apr. 3-0'clock.

It's a curious one. Schumacher did turn the ship around briefly. And it's most definitively not his side. But the collapse in form over the last month has been worrying, to say the least, as is his seeming inability to stop the rot.

Good finish Matete.

Re: Green means go...Away to Lincoln , Mon 21st Apr. 3-0'clock.

Abimbola gives away a penalty. Glorious.

Not an awful lot in it, to be fair

And Baxter might as well have been totally incorporeal for it.
