Re: TW Members. Introspection on an Epic scale.

All the best, bish. I spent a week in hospital in the summer of 2018 with a heart problem. They put a pacemaker in and I've been right as rain ever since. Of course I have to take blood thinners every day - eternity pills we call them. So I hope you have as speedy a recovery as I did.

Wee bit blowy out there today. Weather station down the road recorded 87mph earlier
I hope it was a gust. If it was sustained you're in a category 1 hurricane!

On a positive note, it's the same score as when we last played this fixture when we had the highest wage bill in the division. Despite gifting them several chances, we obviously defended much better than in our last away game. We move on. Next Saturday is way more important Good to see there is sti...

Wish I'd known there was going to be a 'Stop Boris' march tonight, I'd 'av' been right up for that! Mob rules. Democracy stands for nothing these days. Good family and neighbours, God bless them all. Wife and I are both currently incapacitated, she from a gone-wrong hip op and me from a vicious arthritis flare up in neck, thumbs and a knee (this what ended my football days years ago , as the cartlidges got shredded and it visits at all the wrong t...

Things happen, it's the way of the world. Sometimes life's harder than others. Had a bit of a tough last three years as wife had first a knee replacement, then the other one went, another op, and then her hip caved in; a third op.She's basically been on crutches ever since. She came out of hospital...

Job done.

Please update any links.

The forum is now accessible via https://the-wanderer.co.uk

no need for the /boards/ anymore.

I've left a redirect in there for those that have left an old link.
The redirect didn't work, but changing http to https did

This business of paying in some bizarre past or future way to cross rivers on a motorway might as well be written here in Sanskrit. I simply cannot visualize what you are talking about or how whatever it is they do could work.

It once took me 7 hours to travel from M23 interchange to junction 10 (Leatherhead) on the fxcking M25... We were heading home oop north, but cut our journey short and stayed in the refuge of a friend's house overnight because we couldn't face another fxcking minute in the backlog of cars crawling ...

Thanks Monty and Dujon for the replies. I'll certainly take note and give everything a good look over. At this time of year, Tango, looking East (towards Yorkshire) as daylight fades you can see the summer triangle rising. This is the three bright stars, from different constellations, of Vega (Lyra...

Anyone heard from the old fella? Hope he's just kicking back and enjoying his rehab. The old fella was quite pleased about being allowed to put weight on his foot after two month, even though he had to do the walking with that huge boot. Unfortunately, the boot tripped me up on one of the rehab wal...
