Re: Server Move

It tends to log me out in media res when I move from one forum to another. However, I may have forgotten remember me because it was telling me to sign on through social media, while I was trying username/password option. I'll see if this works now I've remembered me.

Edit: Yes, that worked better.

Re: NFL - America's Game

Prater was actually trying a 68-yarder. Even 67, which he would have made, would have broken the record. Missed field goals are easier to return than punts or kickoffs because of the offensive formation used. Still it was a heck of a return. It's like me claiming a nearly world record on double top...

Account suspended

When I tried to sign on I received a message my account was suspended. What had I done I thought? Made a pass at Zulus wife? Called Farnworth the armpit of the universe? Said something nice about BWFCinsane? Well, it told me to inquire of the authorities by clicking a link to the webmaster. So I wro...

US putting out of their minds. This has to revert to the mean eventually .
These are their ideal greens and they are very good. Europe needs to step up big time if they are to hang in. 6-2 would be very bad.
Well then, it's very bad. But things can turn.

Re: The Olympics

Looks like three people might also lose their silver medals from the sprint relay as Ujah's B sample, confirms the findings of the original. Must be heartbreaking when you're clean. Who would do that in a sprint team? Get caught as a solo athlete, only yourself to blame. It is devastating for the t...

Today I am tired from being woken up early by the 6 year old declaring with glee “there’s a dead rat in the chicken run”. That was a fun pre-breakfast job. Happy Friday everyone.
You must have some tough chickens to take out a rat.

Re: Tennis, anyone.....?

Emma was born in Canada as well, just like Greg Rusedski. I've met Greg Rusedski (and his lovely wife, Lucy) quite a few times. Absolutely lovely fella. It did actually used to piss him off when he was referred to as British when he won and Canadian when he lost. Success does indeed have many fathe...

Re: Tennis, anyone.....?

Into the semis! Amazing. Don't forget there is another teenager in the semis, Canada's own Leylah Fernandez. Leylah just made the finals. It would be great if Emma Raducanu could also get to the finals. Of course, Emma was born in Canada as well, just like Greg Rusedski. On the men's side Felix, li...

Heat wave here and throughout North America. Hottest temperatures ever in a number of places.
If you could both send some sunshine Sussex way that would be great, ta!
Sorry! Apparently we sent it to the Hebrides.

The umpires and ground-staff are not meteorologists. Their task, in a 5 day match, is to keep the condition of the ground as equitable as possible for both sides, notwithstanding the wicket changes over that period. Back in my day (granted 60 years ago) the job of the groundstaff was to make the wi...

I remember the Jonestown massacre well, but must confess I always though Kool-Aid was used until today. Mass suicide was suggested but it was largely murder.

Well I'm not sure that's a valid comparison Monty! The "ball in play" stats mean exactly that. They don't include gearing up for throw-ins or corners etc. By that metric there must be far less actual play in any baseball game. From the pitchers arm to the backstop, or behind the foul line a lot of ...

I'm not a format snob Twattish comment. Do you not have a preferred format? I wasn’t calling anyone a format snob or suggesting that preferring one makes you a snob. More that my non plussed reaction to the hundred has had me called a format snob. I don’t think I am. I enjoy all forms of the game. ...
