Do you commute to/from Manchester?

Greetings! Do you commute to and from Manchester? If so, why not help out poor university scum and answer a survey based on commuting to Manchester? It is designed to form the basis of devising a sustainable transportation system for the Greater Manchester region. The survey is only 9 questions, and...

Every day I look in the window of the guitar shop opposite the BBC on Oxford Road (and still never remember what it's called). One thing I can add to this thread, the prices there make looking the only option. :( Musicground, obscenely expensive! don't be a wimp, learn the real guitar! Yup, follow ...

Didn't even think about amps! The low end ones are really crappy to be honest, you could do alot worse than looking at this . You run it through your computer, and includes a metronome and basic drum track, and you can get loads of different sounds (though the price has shot up since I bought it 2 y...

I'd advise looking at the entry level Yamaha range; it was called the RBX range but it's been about 4 years since I purchased mine, may well have changed by now. I think they're about £130 off the net, or pop into HW Audio on St Georges Road and they have a few basses by Jim Deacon for £120- though ...

It is quite similar to The Dark Knight in that it's long but not really noticeable. I only really noticed the length of the film during the third chapter in the bar scene, but otherwise it is quite manageable even for a seasoned fidgetter like myself! Do Brad Pitt and Hitler really exchange "Nein Ne...

Saw it last night, and no, it doesn't happen.

But don't let that stop you from watching it! Good film, though quite long (2 and a half hours IIRC).

I just got rid of one of those bloody things the other day, took it to the dump as it was old and scratched. If I remember correctly, someone told me it was made in 1959 so it was old. It was just taking up space. As to Les Paul, didn't he invent Fenders or something? Sad loss. Please tell me this ...

Thoroughly enjoyed watching Bruce Springsteen (alas, this year on telly), thought he and the E Street band were absolutely brilliant! And this is coming from someone who only knew Born in the USA prior to watching him. Needless to say he's constantly been on my Spotify since watching him.....

I wasn't in the fan club nor did I have a code.

Simply, I went on seetickets at 10am, bought them, and went back to bed

Mind you, I think it was a combination of fast internet and luck.

Not only has that snivelling tw*t Carragher played his last game, Gerrard should be nowhere near the next team, either Can only be good news Yes of course, we cant let a world class player such as Gerrard be in the team before people like Jermaine Jenas, David Beckham or Gareth Barry. Gerra...

Assuming you don't have Appetite for Destruction by Guns n Roses (which every record collection should have) then I'd recommend Motley Crue's Dr Feelgood album. Couple of shite slow ones, but an excellent album nonetheless, one of the best rock albums of the 80's. Alas, much of the stuff I'd recomme...

Went to Leeds again this year. The sound on the mainstage was inexcusable. To pay £163 to get in, and then be surrounded by the worst, quiet sound I've ever heard is unforgivable. If I ever get round to it, Festival Republic will be getting a nasty letter. However, Metallica were AWESOME! I think th...
