Re: I used to live in Bolton ...
I heard someone had made an offer to buy the church and turn it into a curry house - but it was turned down. Would have been better than how it is now, depressing area.

Re: Sammy Lee's Bolton v Peter Puppies' City... The Match Th
The sort of pre-match positivity has returned that I used to feel in the first few months after Coyle came in. Relieved to get away from Megson, now relieved to get away from Coyle. First match I ever went to was Bristol City at home, lost 2-0 Wayne Allison scored both I think. Wasnt the most inspi...

Re: Bolton in Europe.
I started a thread about Anglo Italian cup yonks ago hoping for some stories/memories from the away trips. I think there were all of 500 people at the game in Pisa! I looked at our results, it was a strange competition, we went unbeaten but didnt make it to Wembley. I saw a final of the tournament o...

Re: Now he's gone, who's next?
Had Talksport on for all of 5 minutes and heard Benitez, Solksjaer, Di Canio and McCarthy all mentioned. Then someone came on saying "word in the street" is that Coyle is going back to Burnley.
Im glad I dont live on that street.

Re: Coyle sacked
Gutted for the man. Pleased for the club. Some great memories and always acted with dignity, but fair decision all round. Feel the same, Ill never forget the feeling of magic and being positive again about the club that came back in those great few months. But he had to go. Like all next managerial...

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Monday turning into a good night for telly - Paul O'Grady and his dogs, 999 emergency madness in Blackpool, Bundesliga. Not bad! Last night, the return of Homeland - brilliant. Carrie's smile after she decked the man following her around in Beiruit was one of the TV highlights of the entire year for...

Re: Marv claming Millwall fans were racist...
More chance of plaiting snot than anything coming of this. UEFA shits it when Croatia fans do monkey chants at black players en masse, so a few Millwall fans doing it at the lower levels of English football will barely register. Its disgusting, yet this is the umbrella under which we watch our footb...

Re: Wanderers away at Millwall
Really enjoyed Millwall away last year in the cup; went down alone on train, met some people, had a laugh, had a drink, stopped by Euston Tap on way back - home by 9:30. Was my first trip to Millwall and I was quite apprehensive about it but in all honesty it was fine. Not going this year, saving fo...

Re: Bolton - Leeds
The matches in April are: 5.4-7.4 BVB - Augsburg (this could be easy, when you will order tickets very early, because Augsburg is a boring club) 19.4-21.4 BVB - Mainz (Mainz has a bigger crowd than Augsburg, but I think you have a good chance, too) So, not the most attractive matches, but good chan...

Re: Tonight's Football
Championship showing itself as a league where anyone can beat anyone at any time yet again. A season-long dogfight this!
I wonder how many "doubles" will be done by one team over another over the course of the campaign

Re: Sheffield Wednesday Away
Well played yesterday boys - better team against a Wednesday side with a lot of new boys struggling to bed in. Reasonable turnout from Bolton. Shame about the nobheads on the tram to and from the ground - "Justice for the 96" followed swiftly by "Who's that Dying on the Runway". Reprimand them - se...

Re: Sheffield Wednesday Away
Okay Ill ignore the pissed up feck wit bit, but whats the difference between someone buying a drink in the ground and necking it before going to their seat and someone buying a drink in the ground and taking it to their seat and taking their time to sup it? Having the drink in an area where the gam...

Re: Sheffield Wednesday Away
It was the same at Hull a couple of weeks ago although at least I was given the chance to get rid of my terribly offensive drink (that I bought from inside the ground anyway) before going to my seat.
