Ashamed to say I’ve not watched much of it so far Tango, must try and catch some before it ends.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 10:24 pmGod Bless the Paralympics all. These brave folk take all that life can throw at them and still manage to triumph. Winners or no every last one deserves a medal.

On her shin. Where she went off and presumably had a couple of stitches before coming back on to score the opener.

Entertaining kids isn’t cheap in the holidays! Colouring book, finger of fudge and clip round t'ear if they complain. You can thank me later  Colouring books were for long journeys. Spending like a man with no arms... I've a colouring book in my shop for £2. Finger of fudge 25p. Chuck an a...

Re: General Chit Chat
Anyone know anything about building/extensions? Looking at having a small, single storey extension on the the back of our house. Quote for timber build over masonry is at least 10k cheaper. What are the pros and cons of timber?! (Other than it’s cheaper and built quicker!)

Re: Where are you going tonight?
Went to York for a couple of days with the kids and just got back. Absolutely knackered but I do love the place. Proper f-you money though. Absolutely everything costs a bomb. Since when weren’t museums free of charge? Loved doing plenty of activities with the kids and trampling around the city loo...

I coach my son’s u8 team. This morning, one of our lads was racially abused by another kid from the opposition team. He was called an “f-in black monkey” the kids parent heard it and she went absolutely wild at him naturally. Turns out she’s a deputy head teacher and she was genuinely saddened, app...

Re: The athletics/running thread
I’ve been reading some old posts from this thread this evening, back when I was running on a regular basis with Bruce and HG. I’m hoping to inspire myself to get back on the wagon after doing nothing for 8 weeks, which is a shame as I was getting close to some parkrun PB’s from 5 years ago. The com...

Steph Houghton is getting on a bit now Tango, past her prime. Though I’d rather not talk women’s football today after our disastrous showing against West Ham. Thankfully the men managed to cheer me up a few hours later. Great performance from them, Gabriel throwing the ball pretty much into his own ...

So odious I’m finding myself taking Gary Neville’s side in things which is quite unnerving in itself. Talk about attention seeking.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 12:29 pmHe’s always been completely odious but I see Joey Barton is trying very hard to solidify his abhorrent reputation. Anyone any fitness New Year’s resolutions? I’ve barely run at all and want to get back to it but most of my evenings are spent ferrying kids round to their sport so don’t have much time to go with friends and the motivation is not there to go on my own in the daytime before work… I’ll manage some ex...

That's all true and fair enough but at elite sport basically all men are better than all women. And while the England women's team would beat my Saturday football team no-one is going to pay them professionally to do so. We've just come off a weird spell of people literally arguing that there is no...
