Re: Where are you going tonight?

Tonight I’m going out. But a new pair of pjs have arrived today and I really want to be an old woman for the night and get in them at 7pm! The struggle is real.

Added bonus of wearing masks is that no one could hear or see me singing along to The La’s ‘There she goes’ in Uckfield Tesco’s this morning!
Have they replaced the windows yet?
Harsh. I’m Sussex’ answer to Tina Turner I’ll have you know.

Re: Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ever

Blooming Covid. Not sure how Liverpool got away with the postponement request for the league cup semi final Thursday given they always play a weaker team out of choice anyway, but I was going to that and now it’s had a knock on effect for the league game end of month that I was also going to. Thank...

Re: Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ever

Classic Granit  He’s a liability! Still, super proud of the boys again. 10 men against Liverpool for most of the match and held out for a draw after they messed us around with their imaginary Covid cases and ‘threadbare squad’ last week! I said to my son I’d have taken a draw 11 vs 11. ...

Re: The athletics/running thread

5k TT last night in a club mob match. 22:05, which I'm happy with. A long way from where I want to be, but trending in the right direction, and considering my lack of fitness atm I'm encouraged what I'll be like when i get back into regular training and repeatable healthy habits. Leg was fine throu...

Re: What are you playing tonight?

Nearer my God to thee Ahhh! You remember it! Were you there? Anyway, in all seriousness, think it’s a bit sad the tradition of football songs appears to have died. I’m not even a huge England fan but if i hear “it’s coming home, it’s coming home” I'm transported back to my glorious mid teen ...

Re: What are you playing tonight?

Today’s kids teatime has been sponsored by me singing Bonnie Tyler’s ‘Total eclipse of the heart’, ‘Manic Monday’ by The Bangles and the Pet shop boys ‘Go west’ - which then led to me seeing if I could remember all the lyrics to ‘Hot stuff’, Arsenal and Donna Summers ‘98 Cup final song (I can 8) ) T...

Re: General Chit Chat

Anyone know what the rough post op recovery is for a detached hernia? A work colleague has one and I’m covering extra hours til they return. Just wondering how many weeks it is likely to be! Depends a bit on the op and how it went and how bad it was. I’d say a month maybe 5 weeks would be normal. I...
